Have a read of this article to understand why:Well, one thing is for sure, Saudi has remained untouched in the current flare up, so something must be working, and we declared Saudi a red line for us
Why? What am I missing? It's just another formal notification to the Congress. This letter shall not be taken as routine communication.
Its US political ball juggling, nothing to do with me.Why? What am I missing? It's just another formal notification to the Congress.![]()
You may dismiss the 4 million Pakistanis living in the GCC. Pakistan cannot. Protecting the interests of millions of its citizens abroad is a fundamental national priority.Remittances are no way to run a country and going to war to protect Pakistani labor (mostly unskilled) in Saudi Arabia is an insane idea.
Sorry we are not going to war for the sake of your GCC jobs.

3rd paragraph.
I struggle to see how Iran can cease being a regional threat while religious fanatics remain in power. No one seems willing to bell the cat.No point going around this. Pakistan cannot backout now but I doubt things will go that far. Maybe once USA abandon the region in few years.
Iran if not taken care off now will surely try its luck against Saudi Arabia/GCC few years down the road. Pakistan better get prepared for that showdown. IRGC ruled Iran is rough state, today they have excuse of USA bases in GCC. But once USA is gone they will again bomb GCC.

The same problem exists in India, where Hindu nationalist extremists continue to promote hatred, pursue regional hegemony, and issue threats against neighbouring countries.
Comparing India to Iran is pathetic. Those neighbouring countries allowing their bases to be used to attack Iran are asking for it - simple.I struggle to see how Iran can cease being a regional threat while religious fanatics remain in power. No one seems willing to bell the cat.

Once again - Iran hasnt got exclusivity to fanatic in the region. e know others that sponsor terror groups that go under the radar so lets not be selective he?
I think rather than be Iran specific, we should remember each nation has their own national interests. The main thrust of this thread should focus on our national interests and how we can help in whatever limited capacity we have to offer both sides an offramp and help stabilize the region.I just dont get why they are striking desalination plants and not Israel or US assets in Israel. Yes, Kuwaitis hist US bases but Kuwaiti Army has not attacked Iranian civilians right?

A protracted regional conflict is i no one's interests. The rest is just semantics and opinion.
