Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

I dont see it happening, if the US had to negotiate with them after a month of strikes, what will Pak achieve attacking Yemen?

I hope the military planners think really hard before going kenetic, they dont want end up in the same position as trump, stuck going up the escalation ladder and losing men, material and the backing of their people.
Relax Brother no one is going to attack Yemen.

According to the press release, Pakistan will respond only if its ships are attacked.

That would be really bad, the entire world has already turned against israel, we will be forced to made a scapegoat for their crimes if we become party to any aggression against the axis of resistance, the correct approach would be to pay lip service while calling for restraint. We didnt tell saudis to bomb sana'a airport which achieved nothing anyway, so why should we become the fall guy for their stupidity.

Maybe make a separate thread on the idea as an opinion piece and list down all possible problems for State of Pakistan and her institutional arms like government, border management, territorial integtrity and social issues if it gets dragged into a wider regional conflict.

There should be an open space for freedom of expression on this international forum. As a thumb rule, States follow principles of needs of many outweigh the needs of few but that does not simply mean majoritarian fascism.
The entire Defence.pk forum appears to be overseen by pro-establishment moderators, who tend to censor content they consider critical of the establishment. They will not delete any post as long as it favours pro establishment.
This is understandable though after all there was a reason why old forum was forced to close.

That's just false allegation. There is tons of anti state material on this forum just like it was in its previous iteration. It just doesn't flow under .pk Domain anymore.

@RescueRanger You keep deleting my posts but you are ok with this low level scum abusing me.
I haven't deleted your posts except for one where you openly insulted Pakistan armed forces.

Please stop complaining and stick to the topic. If you don't have anything to add, kindly refrain from deraliing the thread.

Looks like Pakistan is taking ownership of the KSA's core interests. Not a bad move. If you don't take a side you get sidelined....

Antagonizing Pakistan should be the last thing Iran should do....

Just read the post #5256.

I did not insult Pak armed forces but still the post was deleted by @RescueRanger claiming that I insulted Pak armed forces.

You already have two hostile neighbors and multiple insurgencies. What is this talk of now potentially fighting Iran or Iraqis or Houthis ? It's madness.
Madness would be sitting idle while our only two oil supply routes are choked off and our fuel reserves run down to zero. Pakistan depends heavily on Middle Eastern crude, and without it, we would face a full-blown existential economic crisis. Our refineries are not even configured to easily process alternative crude supplies from the east.
This is some extremely expensive oil if you have to kill people Saudis don't like for it.
It is also the only major source from which Pakistan receives oil on deferred-payment terms. Add to that the Middle East’s importance as one of our largest trading partners and the single biggest source of remittances sustaining our economy.

Yet you expect us to sacrifice Pakistan’s energy security and economic survival for Iraninan Mullahs factions whose leadership helped setup Indian intelligence networks inside chahbar against Pakistan.

Or the anarchist Houthi khat eating Cult , who would gladly sacrifice their mothers for the Iranian regime.

Unlike some Pakistani expatriates commenting comfortably from abroad, ordinary people in Pakistan do not have the luxury of treating this as a purely moral debate.

You should move to an iranian defence forum.. i here they take good care of their cucks.
We would not have been in mess IF Govt of Pak was rightfully selected by people of Pak. Its not Govt of Pak anyway, its Field marshall who is calling the shots.
India is partner and ally of of Gulf countries too especially UAE but India will never go to war with Iran at the cost of Indians.
Finally, please explain how could Pak protect Saudia when USA could not do it.
India does not get 80% of its oil from the Middle East, nor did Saudi Arabia bankroll India’s nuclear programme. But sure, why bother learning the basic facts when you can confidently post complete nonsense?

Brother no point allowing these people to derail the thread. Just ignore and move on.

Is this not our own strategic failure for putting all the eggs in one basket?

We could be meeting our energy needs through pipelines if we knew how to play the game instead of going to IMF/ADB/KSA every 6 months.

Ahh yes as opposed to democraticly elected houtis and irani gov, in whose favor your ilk is even willing to against interests of Pakistan.

As opposed to what exactly?
I dont know dude, i am not the one paid big bucks to form our national policy, but there should have been a contingency plan instead of threatening a literal war with another country.
