Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

Brother, this Iranian living in UK is now telling Pakistanis who they love....

You got that wrong..

Pakistanis by nature will sympathise with any country taking a stand against a fellow country being attacked by US/Zion.

We will support Saudi Arabia irrespective of pact or not if it's ever attacked by Zion. Same goes for any other country.

Right now Arab states are being viewed as Zion allies gagging up and an active part of aggression against an another Muslim country.

I think it is very hard to make sweeping statements about what all Pakistanis think. What I can say is that Saudi and China top every survey when it comes to opinions Pakistanis have. Iran never makes it to top 5.

Yes, I am proud Pakistanis will back anyone against Israel, but dont ask them to choose between KSA and Iran. It will be KSA every single day....

None of what you have said contradicts my point :

"Good - so, let's stop the talk of Saudi having some 'moral high ground' in this conflict, it clearly does not.. It is involved in the same naked war of conflict and control that it accuses Iran of, and the only thing on the table is who is more successful at it. Both countries are equally as ugly as each other in stoking conflict in the middle east."
Moral high ground is not starting the hostiles in 1979 (rather among other things hosting many of those cursed Iranian Mullah's - including that very Indian Khomeini who lived in exile in Kuwait and Iraq for a while later to escape to France where he became a Western/French agent tasked to destroy the real Iranian opposition to the Shah - communists and socialists).

Moral high ground is not supporting anti-state terrorist proxies against neighbors for decades in order to gain some kind of backward regional hegemony that would never occur and will never occur in the first place.

Moral high ground is being a prosperous (one of the world's most prosperous countries in fact) country in a otherwise very chaotic region and a country which has close and cordial ties with almost every single Muslim and non-Muslim nation of worth and importance in this world.

Moral high ground is being a safe heaven for millions of workers and residents from across the planet.

Moral high ground is being a source of stability and prosperity in the region by supporting regional integration (hence KSA combating the division of Yemen aided by UAE and Israel), Somalia's integrity (against Somaliland and now KSA is deeply involved in Somalia militarily and economically), trying to restore peace and order in Sudan and taking the side of the least retarded side (Sudanese government), heroically standing with the Syrian people for almost 15 + years against all odds (along with Turkiye and others) who were daily slaughtered by one of the most brutal dictators and regimes in the modern era.

Moral high ground is never recognizing Israel since 1948 (as the ONLY relevant country in the region), and being the main economic and political supporter of Palestine since 1948. Fully supported by the Palestinian government, Fatah and even elements within Hamas despite certain disagreements.

Moral high ground is welcoming every single Muslim to Makkah and Madinah and permanently abolishing the fiqh divisions that always occurred where each sect played among themselves in their own specific corners and with their own clerics. Now every single Muslim prays jointly together irrespective of sect. As well as making Hajj and Umrah available to 1-5 million times more pilgrims than before and easier than ever before.

Moral high ground is also being one of the biggest humanitarian donors in the world.

I wonder what good the Iranian regime has done in the region since 1979 other than supporting (opportunistically) non-state (mostly terrorist actors) who are one of the main sources of destabilization of the region?

How have they run Iran since 1979? What moral high ground does a regime that murders 1000's of their own people (as early as this year)?

Imagine the Saudi Arabian regime killing 10,000's or so of our own for solely protesting and having large-scale protest almost every single year on end. Having active insurgencies from oppressed/discontent minorities spanning from Kurds, Baloch, Arabs and religious minorities.

Sure, exact same moral high ground. Why not go live in Iran if they can do nothing wrong? Seems like all the Iranian cheerleaders and keyboard warriors are sitting behind their screens, including the Iranians themselves here - mostly based in the very same West that is attacking their beloved regime while we speak?

Last thing I would be doing if KSA was ever attacked would be to sit on PDF or any online community but I guess people are different.

Yes, Saudi has and I fully recognize that.

But I still view Saudi through a moral compass that has gone very wrong in recent years, which has been bought about by MBS and his horse trading for whatever "drives him". We all saw the value of its moral standing with it's dance with Netanyahu and the Abraham Accords.

The Abraham Accords for Saudi dance only came to an end with the genocide of the people of Gaza, otherwise they would have been fully signed up members by now. I am taking a holistic view of everything in my views and comments.

I agree bit Iranians are no angels either mate

Thank you for admitting it. The only reason why Muslims and non-Muslims even "support" Iran to begin with is due to greater hatred for Israel and USA and not out of any love for Iran or the Iranian regime. Most people are clueless about the ills and shenanigans of the Iranian regime within Iran itself and the region since 1979. Outside of those that are actually living in the region and familiar with its history since 1979.

Of course outside of a tiny minority (overall compared to the global Muslim population they are practically irrelevant) of blind Wilayat al-Faiqh supporters who have taken Iranian Mullah's as their demigods and thus propagandize for them 24/7. We have around 5-10 of those on this very forum.

In fact this very forum acts as their largest gathering (English speaking forum) online from what I am aware of which should tell you everything - as this forum is overall small and this segment of the forum is a tiny overall minority.

Should tell you everything.

I agree on that too!

Its a bit like trying to pick the pretty one out of three really really ugly sisters right now..

As I said though for me history of KSA support to Pakistan and Mecca and Medina means I think we should always side with KSA

Iranians were supplying military gear to Houthis hence Saudi bombed the airport. If Iranians has every right to bomb Omani waters to prevent ships passing through Hormuz, why Saudis don't have the same right to prevent Iranian supplying houthis which would ultimately affect Saudis with the closure of Bab-al-Mandab?

Bro they bombed the airport after the landing of houti dignitaries returning from Iran after paying their respects to the martyred Iranian Supreme leader.

There was no need to do that.

The Houthi terrorist cult are an internationally recognized terrorist group that is occupying small parts of North Yemen. They have no legitimacy among the people nor internationally. The air space of Yemen is controlled by the Yemeni government and military which is allied with KSA and de facto controlled by KSA.

The Houthi terrorist cult was, once again, attacking Yemeni government army positions prior and starting to disrupt sea trade in the Red Sea by harassing ships. They started the hostilities because their personal piggy bank (Iranian regime) likely was angry about their passivity and lack of support for Iran during the past 13 months.

Houthis are also facing an internal tribal and clan uprising as well as great discontent among the Yemenis that they occupy.

Houthis need, to save face and to gain support among illiterate people, to fire some token drones and missiles otherwise they will be seen as weak. Hence all the propaganda about conquering all of Yemen, defeating KSA, invading it let alone defeating Israel and the US.

Again, you are most likely not following Yemeni affairs on a weekly basis and only reading the headlines.

And KSA was spot on in targeting (yesterday) the weapons that that Iranian plane carried into Hudaydah (RSAF tracked the entire smuggling of said weapons) where it was destroyed. So once again, KSA was proven right.

This was the 2 of such visits in 10 years or the first. There will likely not be a 3rd such plane unless it wants to get destroyed.

KSA restraint is only due to North Yemenis being fellow Arabs and Muslims and 90% of all Yemenis under Houthi occupation not supporting Houthis actively but suffering under their occupation. As well as being neighbors (ordinary people). That is the saving grace of the Houthis and always was.

Mutiple expolosions heared in Habban district of Yemen.

If Houthis were non-Muslims and non-Arabs, their strongholds would have looked like Gaza by now. A few RSAF squadrons alone have enough firepower to level Sana'a to the ground. Which is another problem altogether as it is one of the most beautiful and one of the oldest cities in the world and one of the many jewels of Arabia and the Arab world.

I don't think that there is a single RSAF pilot who would ever willingly engage in such actions unless in an all-out war and even then he would have huge personal problems with it.

I know for a fact that I would have great difficulties ever pointing a gun towards a fellow Muslim and Arab regardless of political, sectarian or whatever differences.

That is also why there was great discontent about the prospect of a large Saudi Arabian land invasion of North Yemen. Many of the Saudi Arabian soldiers have tribal/clan and ancestral ties with North Yemen and vice versa. It is basically family (extended) in many ways divided by a modern-day border and modern identities. At the end of the day we will remain Arabs and Muslims regardless of passports and nationalities and regimes.

This reality will always be the main saving grace of the Houthis. That and them hiding among civilians and using civilian areas as staging areas for their drone and missile launches.

But as any backward and incompetent terrorist cult, they will eventually belong to the dustbin of history as there is no future with them in their current version.

Which is the most important and crucial thing. KSA's and Yemen's fates are tied whether we like it or not one way or another. At least partially and to the extent that events there cannot be ignored. Hence decisive KSA actions since March 2015. If not the case, Houthis would be running all of Yemen to the ground today.

What would have Bush senior done in present circumstances ? ...walk the walk and finish Iranian fitna forever....it doesn't need much , just couple of more kicks on their butts.

And hitting saudi and qatari civilian ships in omani waters justifies Iranian acts ? Please dont bring morality into something when both sides are comitting transgressions.
