Sorry to burst another of your imaginary bubbles but Najd was never a part of the Ottomans so the House of Saud could never have "rebelled" against the Ottomans in the first place.

And the majority of Ottomans were fellow Arabs. Arabia was ruled by local dynasties allied with the Ottoman Sultan and they had more rights than other local rulers in the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire was already fragmenting long before the Arab Revolt with revolts in the Balkans, Caucasus, Anatolia proper itself (Young Turk revolution), and numerous coups in Istanbul. Algeria and Egypt were lost in the 1800's as well.

The first Jewish European migrations to Palestine also took place under the Ottoman watch and rule.

Fact of the matter is that Epstein had dealings with Iran and Iranian leadership and that Khomeini was an Western agent that lived in exile in the West (France) and who landed on an Air France plane in Iran. Pakistan has only signed such a defense pact with Saudi Arabia to date and no other country. That should tell you everything what those individuals in the know (Pakistani leadership) and military think.

Our so called leaders didnt even hold a parliamentary vote before haphazardly signing that defensive pact.

Our leaders went to doha to pay respects to qatar after israel dropped bombs on them from there they went straight to riyad to sign that mutual defence agreement.

And what do you think the Pakistani pubic, who in their majority have great reverence for Hejaz and KSA, would say? We both know the answer - there would be massive overall support for it. Main ones opposing such a deal with a long-term and proven ally belong to a well-known small (overall) minority community. But even many among that community would be in favor of it because millions of them have directly benefited from KSA remittances, KSA relationship and people to people relations. KSA hosts many Pakistanis Shias who are not pro-Iranian regime and many have even been born here and know nothing else but KSA and consider it as their homeland.

No need for any public polls, in KSA most locals were and are supporting strong military and other ties with Pakistan and support the signed agreement.

Not heard many say that this should not have been done. Most who question it question the full content of it and what it precisely entails. Not so much the fact that a defense pact was signed with Pakistan which in KSA, at least, is viewed as the strongest Muslim military power.

This pact was not signed for the galleries , it was signed keeping in view security needs of the century and not just for Pakistan and Saudi Arabia , this pact will provide umbrella to the entire west Asia including Iran.

What part of the defense pact are you against exactly? KSA and Pakistan have had very close and cordial relations since 1947. The pact just formalized this relationship.

it is unlikely to even be invoked because KSA is unlikely to face a full-scale invasion from anybody and if that will be the case KSA will have plenty of allies (Arab, Muslim, non-Muslim) that would be willing to help because their geopolitical interests align with a stable and secure KSA.

Anyway I am all for an open debate and I would like a similar one in KSA in an ideal world but fact of the matter is that ordinary people are clueless about the inner workings and interests of those in power and state institutions. Most of the public are not even aware of how much KSA and Pakistan have helped each other and what was done or promised etc. We only hear what they allow. Some of it are state secrets as well.

In any case I am pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of the Pakistani population is in favor and I have not seen any evidence on the ground that would contradict this.

Which likely is the same case in KSA BTW.

I always have hope for unity of the ummah, this defence pact for me was a step towards that. When I look at the forum and multiple related threads, I can see the microcosm of this forum representing the state of that unity.

We are definitely not there, maybe future leaders of SA, Pak and Muslim nations will be more visionary, what a mess we find ourselves in, and have for centuries.
