Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

American firepower in the Middle East was visible to all in Syria and Iraq where the US aimed to rollback the ISIL movement (Operation Inherent Resolve), and in Iran where the US aimed to cripple the Iranian nuclear infrastructure (Operation Midnight Hammer). However, the Middle East landscape remains unstable as different political forces in the region vie for power and control and have a conflict of interest.

I am not the only one who said that the American firepower in the Middle East is reduced; I saw some other today, maybe even an Indian analyst, who said something like 'The Arab world saw what Iran did and so they think maybe they too can do try to have some spine' (paraphrased).
Destroying Iran using carpet bombing would also mean destroying Israel, the American bases, and the American investments, and the GCC infrastructure and hence both Iran and America did the same old tit for tat dance that they did in the Trump first administration.
So, yes, the American firepower in the Middle East is greatly reduced; forget about putting the boots on the ground like in Iraq 2003--those days are long gone--short of dropping massive nukes, even a middling power like Iran can exact a too heavy price.
But you are entitled to remain in your awe of a past which has long gone.

Is this namak-haram ganja ghaddar still spreading lies about the state of Pakistan?

I'm just curious what this deal entails.

More oil to bomb the sindoor out of india.

Saudis should know Pakistan doesn't have enmity with anyone else except india. Afghans we can handle.

This is not something that happened overnight, both israel and india (including the common indians) finally made it happen.

Saudis now realise that Pakistanis are able fighters with the intelligence and will to fight, and indians are Islamophobe, so much that they orgasm at news of deaths of Muslim children. Saudis do not need to provide us manpower they can simply provide the means and rest will happen itself.

Next modi stop picture with MBS, pretending to isolate Pakistan.

The take by the following former Indian ambassador to Saudi Arabia are usually very insightful.

This idiot Indian host was rebuffed quite a few times for cutting the guest from completing what he wanted to say. This host afton acts like a rabid dog to interrupt and cut the guest in the middle of sentences.

Saudi Arabia's relationship with Turkey is no better than its relationship with Iran. Even there's still potential for improvement in Saudi Arabia's relationship with Iran, the poor relationship between Saudi Arabia and Turkey stems from structural geostrategic conflicts, making improvement extremely difficult.

Geopolitically, Saudi Arabia's goal is to confront Iran while maintaining its traditional leadership in the Arab world. Turkey's goal, on the other hand, is to actively intervene in Middle Eastern affairs and seize Saudi Arabia's regional dominance. The contradiction between the two is vividly demonstrated in their different positions in the Syrian war, their different positions in the Qatar diplomatic crisis, and their different attitudes towards the Muslim Brotherhood.

In terms of religion, Saudi Arabia is the guardian of the holy sites and represents the conservative Wahhabi school. Turkey, citing its status as the successor to the Ottoman Empire, promotes an image of moderate Islam, competing with Saudi Arabia for Sunni dominance and influence. This is evidenced by the relative support Pakistanis show for Turkey and Saudi Arabia. And guess which country's propaganda is behind the widespread smear campaign against the Gulf states among some Pakistanis?

The 2018 Khashoggi assassination was the main trigger for the deterioration of relations between the two countries. The Saudi government has consistently denied assassinating Khashoggi, while Türkiye has continued to exert diplomatic and public pressure and provided evidence to Western media.

With all due respect, Islamic nations are plagued by conflict, making unity difficult. China expended considerable political resources to foster reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, but less than a year after establishing diplomatic ties, the situation ended with the assassination of President Raisi. If the Islamic world truly desires to unite and establish a military alliance, there is only one way: to place the only Islamic nation with nuclear weapons and relatively normal relations with Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Turkey at its core, with its closest allies China providing support. Only in this way can success be achieved. But from my observations during this period, the people of this country are extremely reluctant to get involved in the conflict between Middle Eastern countries and Israel.

No offense, but it's quite obvious that Chinese members here are not up to date on anything in the middle east. Your analysis has been outdated for years.

Even Saudi-Irani relations are quite mellow these days.

@Michael

Pakistan can't access US weapons in KSA, but those weapons are toothless anyway.
This whole news is just wishful thinking bro. Full spectrum qabza hae US/ Israel ka over the GCC. Colonial tribal bicharay arbi kya karain? There's nothing to even look here.

Expats are good people , they will earn more respect if they take few steps down the conceit ladder.
Not looking for brownie points nor do I care what others think of me. What u see here as conceit...is not at all that. It's just lashing out and giving a reality check to ppl who act holier than thou.

They tell us average expats that we have no say in Pakistani matters all the while they lick the boots of morally corrupt expats ruling them.

Check the citizenships of Sharif family, Zardari family, bureaucrats, generals, and other elites. U will find that most of them hold dual citizenship...they keep their wealth, properties, bank accounts in foreign countries...and that's not even theirs..it's looted wealth. Their sons and daughters are educated abroad and mostly live in foreign countries...all that from looted wealth too...
...yet u will find these two bit سڑک چھاپ nobodies like @Maarkhoor saluting them and brown nosing them...while badmouthing us regular folks for no reason.

So yeah..a reality check is definitely warranted when they act like this.

I mean ditching Chinese gear and going for American . . I don't this is what Chinese have in mind.
Pakistan will never betray their Chinese brothers. They were together in very difficult times

@Michael
This is good

Probably your couldn't pay full attention to what AC Tufail wrote.....he said we wanted to buy f 86e.......I am not sure if Jordan had F 104s .....it was a useless aircraft anyways.
Do a bit of research. Original PAF F104s were bare metal. We got the Jordanian F104s in desert camo.

Canadair F86Es were bought by The Shah of iran and transferred to PAF.

Saudis already have all the offense and defense to protect themselves. They also have America so what do they need Pakistan for ? Cannon fodder ? Bring Pakistanis to kingdom to pilot their jets and ships against Israel while Saudis kick back and relax ?

US isn't gonna lift a finger to help them against Israel. It'll do the opposite.

Also, American equipment probably comes with restrictions on using it against Israel - even if they did try using it against Israel, Israelis don't even need a kill switch. They undoubtedly have all the specs on Saudi weapons thanks to US. It's a simple matter to counter them.

Pakistan adds an unknown & unpredictable element b/c it will prioritize its agreement with Saudi over US opposition + Chinese/Indigenous equipment.

Also we don't want Saudis fighting. It's better if they don't otherwise they'll get in our way. Just supporting the defense industry & putting pressure on India, Afg, UAE or anyone else is good enough.

What a shame!

How much money you send to Pakistan? And to whom? You mother, dad, relatives? Is it a favor to them or to Pakistan? If you think you sending it for Pakistan and then threaten to stop it, then go ahead and stop it. What's the big deal? Who the heck cares for your money.

The most remittances are sent to Pakistan by Pakistanis working in the Middle East. They never even mention that fact. That is called the true love for a country.

Yes it is a shame you need all this money to prevent hyperinflation… otherwise you wouldn’t be able to afford a tooth paste

How much money I send ?… probably more than you make in year …

Ps why do you ask?….do you need zakat Or some thing ?
