Of course it is for israel, they passed message long time ago that they will use them if needed even if others do not use them in war with them, that is part of their leverage, so it is important that they know that in nuclear apocalypse they predicted for others they will be part of it also, so far they planned to fire their own if their state is in danger and move to america safely, now that option is redundant.

Pakistan, due to its economy and trade dependence on the Americans and the American allies, is in no position to act 'tough' and end up like another Iraq, Libya, or Syria. A mere expulsion from the SWIFT banking system would be enough to cripple Pakistan's economy! The 'Generals' of Pakistan as well as the civilian planners are all too aware of Pakistan's many fault lines, both internal and external.

Yes, usually. However, he suffers from the same secular idealism of congress like rest of educated Indian Muslims. For example his rant of 4000 years old Indian ties with Arabs is reflective of the unending need of Indian Muslims to justify their nationalism.

This agreement has more symbolic meaning then anything truly practical. I see people claiming that it could be used against Yemen OR against india. I don't see any of such thing. KSA has learned from its mistake of attacking Yemen and they have made peace with them. If Pak vs India happens in future, the Kingdom will act as mediator more then anything else.

As far as Israel is concerned, It never had any plans to attack KSA at first place. Kingdom signed this agreement as a show of force, as a backup or just signalling out that don't even think about it. The signaling is to Yemen & Iran as well. Overall again its more symbolic / signalling. Can actually work to stabilize the region and prevent unnecessary wars (If the intent is likewise).

People who are hoping this pact can save genocide in Gaza are just wrong. Israel don't give a damn to this and still killing 100s of children on daily basis. So its time we all should stop over exaggerating it and see it just formalizing something which was already known for decades.

I am pretty sure that jews have plans for bombing two holy cities if saudis decide to raise their head against their actions in region, it is unbearable position for saudis as any other nation of that size and importance, in past they thought that american weapons and jizzia paid to them is enough to prevent such scenario but after qatar attack whole invisible security umbrella collapsed. Saudis need this pact to work same as water.

They’re in complete denial. The former Indian ambassador is visibly on the defensive, resorting to full-blown damage control with the classic “all is well” narrative.

The Saudi–Pakistan mutual defence pact is not open to interpretation, it is exactly what it says. Joint statements of this nature are drafted with utmost care, and every word is chosen deliberately.

What a diplomacy quagmire this has become for India. Setback after setback over the past four months: from not a single country naming Pakistan in the Pahalgam attack, to U.S. tariffs, the Quad’s failure, China Snub and now this..

It was meant to be privileged and preferential treatment within America. That was meant to be the secret hack


At no point during the Gaza conflict did India slightly suggest that backing Israel would not be a clever thing to do.

Forget basic principles, just self-interest

In fact it was the case that modi was able to summon up a performative speech to putin on the age of war, not one word against Israel



Even the attack that did happen in Kashmir all Indian channels could mention is the parallel to Israel

The truism that it is more dangerous to be America's friend than enemy is proving to be correct again.
