Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

The Egyptians had envisaged such a role for themselves. It obviously comes with perks.
bhai they had their chance on platter in 2015 .No one was in their way.KSA provided economical support. Their military deals were supported by KSA but what they delivered no thing. They qre totally dependent on west and usa. they could not get their su 35 because of western and US pressure. They want a bigger and leading role just based on conventional dorces which are not up to the mark. KSA and gulf countries cannot be fooled this time.
why Pakistan got this role
No 1 May event and our armed forces proved that we fight we cant be overwhlemed by mighy and bully enemy .
second Qatar strike, US is not truet orthy partner. Though US would stay for decade and arabs have to build a strong alternate which could create areal deterrence.

I am laughing on source only- because he is a super star of the PDF.

Videos on YouTube, even I can make it by claiming Pakistan is more powerful than USA now....

Easy Tiger you had actual Indian News Anchors claim "Lahore Port" was blown up. Maybe sit this one out, hey champ?

India is irrelevant into the foreseeable future. Some have even said above that India is 'checkmated'.

In politics there are no checkmates. There is no black and white, there is only gray. We stood by our own till now if we could sustain during 90’s this is not such a bad time. May be as Pakistani narrative we are irrelevant but world does not look at India with a Pakistani lense.

I want to see Oman join this pact. Oman will provide the Strategic Depth that Pakistan needs against both India and Zion.
Oman has been in bed with Israel for a long time, even before UAE and Bahrain. They allow Israelis to covertly setup intelligence gathering equipment there.

why Gulf and KSA is more important for us in this time and age how we can get some economic benefits if our leadership plays smart role.
If we look US and west they are in turmoil
internally anti_ immigrants movents , rise of far right and economic turmoil .
they loose some steam. Also China is giving them hard time in trade and business even in innovation.
so we cant get much from them even we cant send our people there.
But here in KSA , they are stable, they are rich , they have vision like 2030 and they need skilled labour. Labour which could help them to build new empire but also help them to mangae it .
In that scenario if our leadership get a pie for our people , just like i dianeget from USA then it would help us .
Moreover one country is rich while other has man power , why not deveop and build companies and train man power to generate wealth instead of selling minerals in raw forms.
we are more aligned with each other economically and also in dfene e cooperation.
i know you guys are more senior and inowledgeable than me. its always fascinating to learn from you .Thanks

Spent 40 years sitting on their ass, doing jack for the Arab cause, making a peace deal with Israel, getting degraded weapons and US aid, never standing up to US, no missiles or nukes,, note even BVR capable planes and now wondering why their were not being called upon to lead a military alliance.

Utter clowns, the Indians of the Arab world....

That was a low blow. :ROFLMAO:

I should have qualified my 'irrelevant' remark. India couldn't be 'irrelevant' because it has a large population, industrious people, and on many indicators ahead of Pakistan and most third world countries. On the geopolitics, India is being battered and I don't see that changing any time soon even if there is a new American President other than Trump.

PS. Eventually, I want peace between India and Pakistan and I try to have my messaging reflect that desire; I don't want the two countries to go into hostilities to the point of no return. I see no way around a peaceful co-existence because I don't think such large populations can benefit long term living in hostility with each other especially while living next to each other. But until that stage is arrived, Never the Guards Down, and Always the Shields Up.

isy kehty hain warna. But but but its against iran . we are against iran. we are sandwich between iran and KSA.By using this forum welcoming this pact should shut their mouth who wnated it to against iran and creare division with in a state and between two countries.

if we are becoming a power, after some external backing or pact, then we are not the power. However, some gaps in the defence and prolonged war can be filled if SA assists.
If Pakistan executes it right...together KSA and Pakistan can become a powerhouse.

The signing of that agreement is just the first step...for a long journey. Both will need to work towards interoperability, training, exercises, ideally equipment commonality where possible, etc.

Either that(hardwork and right execution for at least a decade plus)...or this agreement is just useless paper...and both will fight..together...alone
...uncoordinated
...and have about the same effectiveness as multiple Arab countries were against Israel in six day war.

Economic pact?

What is that.

I mean you're the most populous nation in the world, every country would like to diversify its trade, I don't know whether just existing is an inherent quality..... Who knows.

What I meant was, if you think economics defines international relations that why on earth is the Indian media so worried about Saudi Pakistan military corporation
Before WW1 the international trade and finance were quite strong amongst the Great Powers. Many pundits thought it'd prevent a widespread war. And, the reality turned out to be different....

It's in their benefit to clarify that they know this pact is not aimed at them.

Recently Iran hailed Pakistan in it's own parliament

Not really sure what's driving all these positive developments one after the other
