The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on January 19 that HBL PSL 11 will replace the draft system with a full player auction and raise the salary cap to $1.6 million per team.

Franchises can retain up to four players and make one direct signing of a new overseas player, possibly pushing total spending near $2 million.

PSL chief executive Salman Naseer said the changes aim to attract top talent and boost competitiveness, though the league trails IPL's massive $14 million purses and ranks around fourth or fifth among T20 leagues.
