Team Hyderabad Splashes Record 12.6 Crore on Saim Ayub for PSL 11

The new PSL franchise, owned by businessman Fawad Sarwar, announced its core four retentions ahead of the February 11 auction in Lahore:

Saim Ayub at Platinum for 12.6 crore, Usman Khan at Diamond for 4.62 crore, pacer Akif Javed at Gold for 1.96 crore, and allrounder Maaz Sadaqat for 3.5 crore.

This IPL-style auction format for PSL 11 allows teams to pre-lock one player per category above base prices, with Hyderabad spending 22.7 crore from its 45 crore purse. Fans praised the Saim-Maaz opening pair after Peshawar Zalmi let Saim go to keep Babar Azam, though some questioned the high price tags against his T20I stats.
