Correct, being an elite in itself is not an issue, but you understand what kind of elite we are talking about? Then ones who've been in politics for decades and their only objective is to recover the investment they made to win their seats/elections. And I even say being corrupt is not as bad if you are loyal to your country and are a good administrator and hardworking person, many examples around the world with tons of corruption but their countries going in right direction.
