Good luck with Yar or Bar Afghanistan. Cannot take PTI seriously till Imran Khan apologize for governing Pakistan under illegal mandate backed by establishment. Once they apologize and accept that they came to power because of Bajwa and Faiz, then we can take their anti-establishment struggle seriously.

I think the realisation is setting in western capitals the blunder they made.

Rather then working with a democratically elected IK who got majority of mandate, they aligned with a usurper in the shape of Asim Muneer, who now by hook and crook have assumed total power. For time being, Asim will wag his tail infront of western establishment, but whats the guaranteed he will not be eliminated in near future since he has become a pariah. And here lies the problem, the power accumulated by hook and crook is for the office of the COAS.

Cannot be explained?? Its called "smart lockdown", a strategy employed by very few countries including Pakistan. Those who went for full lockdown, which these rats in GHQ were pushing for, endup with egg on their face.

What I understand is that the military only understands deterrence while Pakistani public thinks it can protest which in the end relies on appealing to a better sense.

It won’t work. What worked is what Kashmiris did to them. They established deterrence and showed the capability to exact an unaffordable price and got what they wanted.

And here lies the problem with IK himself, he is too docile for Pakistani politics and above all, dealings with establishment. These dungers in GHQ only recognise the force. PPP, PML-N, MQM, all have militant wings. Fazlu is not important because of his mandate but the street thugs he can amass.

In a way its good, that IK is in jail and isolated. It a good opportunity for PTI after this Islamabad massacre to transform ISF into its militant wing, no one will blame them. These generals in GHQ do not fear the vote, they fear the bullets. Mark my words, they will come to their senses pretty soon.
