Pakistan UAVs News & Discussions

According to Bloomberg, Pak is getting all the Turkish drones' technologies, production facilities, JVs etc. to have a mega production hub in Pakistan for domestic usages and exports...

A great setback for the Ram Rajya of Hindutva Bharat and its Hanuman (monkey) army (aka Afgan Pashtuns) in Afganistan....

The infusion of the manufacturing tooling, equipment, processes and procedures itself will be of immense benefit. If you look at Turkish manufacturing build quality for its weapons, the quality is truly second to none and something I always notice. If Pakistan gets some of this "pixie dust" awell, all the better for Pakistan as well on top of the weapons itself.

Pakistan will still need to work on the other side of the equation which is its lack of core R&D, design, validation testing of its own design problem, but at least this way it can solve the manufacturing side of it. This will of course sit alongside and be complimentary to the manufacturing capabilities that were built up as part of the JF17 project.

This makes great sense from a Turkish perspective. Pak forces will obviously be major customers for this UCAVs but also means Turks can fill their own domestic and export orders more quickly by having a second production base in Pakistan
The real strategic advantage is being overlooked. In a war involving Türkiye, the production facilities for Kızılelma, Anka-3, and similar assets in Türkiye would be primary targets. In such a scenario, the facilities in Pakistan would act as insurance. Naturally, the same benefit applies to Pakistan as well.

In my view,Turkey still has to develop a good and efficent LM...the yiha 3 was slow heavy and very poor in performance....the kajem and the kemankes are good work but something like the harop or the shahed would be great...faster speed and higher altitude would enable them to be safe from small arm fire and point defence systems....thus the enemy would suffer greater problems...these large UAV are not fesible in dense ad networks like india and israel....

We already have the type of kamikaze drones (Harop like) you mentioned. Six or seven companies have developed products in that field. Don't be fooled by the lack of advertising. Our goal for small drones is no longer to develop kamikaze drones. We've long since closed the kamikaze drone case. Our goal now is to develop counter-kamikaze drones that will hunt down enemy kamikaze drones.

How do you measure the Anka-3's performance? I'm curious. Its purpose is to approach and release missiles without being detected by radar. Its purpose isn't to fly very fast; we have other tools for that. Frankly, the Anka-3 is very good at radar stealth.

You don't think we'll deploy large drones into well-defended areas on their own, surely. Kamikaze drones and other smart munitions will go first.

Ok my bad for not knowing you had limited production for LMs as you have shifted to larger UAVs....
btw i didn't questioned anka 3s perforance...i talked about YIHA 3(the kamakize pipe bomb) it didnt performed well some even crashed in Pakistans own territory...
my two cents...

Oh, OK. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

It also means in any war or conflict, you have production facilities for a product you use and are familiar with away from the war zone

I really hope Pakistan later join KAAN project, also given now Afghando's are fully hostile to Pakistan and there is little to no hope of normalization I think we should have few forward drone bases along the Afghan border, drones are enough to take out Afghandos, and their puppet TTP. We can't spare fighter jets as Indians are now much more aggressive than before.
