Bhai all these drones wouldn’t last two minutes in Indian airspace. We need to understand this ASAP.

Not all drones are designed and built the same....

As for the drone warfare in the Indo-Pak scenario:
  • The IAF manned fighter jets won't have a free ride inside the Indian airspace, thanks to the PAF's proven demonstration of its capabilities on 02-27 and constant improvement without any respites since then.
  • As for undermining S-400s and other AD systems, no dearth of solutions at the hands of Pak side. What happened to the Israili Spyder system on 02-27?
  • Long range AWACs and EW a/cs (Turkish HAVA-SOJ type)are being procured by the PAF at a regular rate.
  • EW/EA passages (ASELSAN KORAL type) will be established before TB2s (with in-situ EW/EA capabilities to have a resident envelop) are sent out to take out the Indian ADs, armored, artillery, infantry etc. via it's own ammunition (including KEMANKESH type mini ALCMs with 1 hr loitering time and 200km range) or directing fire from the PA's long range MRLS, artillery etc. This tactic has been proved to be successful in multiple hot fronts against the Russian and Western systems.
  • As for Akinjis with the resident AESA radars and EW/EA capabilities and armed with A2A (WVR+BVR), ALCMs, super-sonic, anti-radiation missiles etc. and guided stand-off ammunition, they can take out the enemy targets from 100s of kms away flying at 55K feet flight regime.
  • Future acquisitions: stealthy stand-alone unmanned AI enabled combat jets KIZILELMA for air superiority and ANKA-3 for deep strikes.
  • Etc.

I think these drones are more suited towards counter terrorism operations anyway.

Only the very high end ones may be used in unison with manned fighter jets from a stand-off range.

oh paee......Hermes, Reaper, Harpy, CH-4 and Wing Loong get downed every week by either Hamas, Hezb, Iraqi PMU's or the Houthi's. Each one of those Reaper's is $32 million (baseline model). CH-4 price in $5 million each. Do mintt main these get shot down. I don't know what else to say. I think they're great against balochi sardar militia's, Somalian pirates, Talibunny or Kachhay k daaku......for now, until these guys too start fielding manpads or Shorads.

Ukraine pulls US-provided Abrams tanks from the front lines over Russian drone threats

WASHINGTON (AP): Ukraine has sidelined US-provided Abrams M1A1 battle tanks for now in its fight against Russia, in part because Russian drone warfare has made it too difficult for them to operate without detection or coming under attack, two US military officials told The Associated Press.

The US agreed to send 31 Abrams to Ukraine in January 2023 after an aggressive monthslong campaign by Kyiv arguing that the tanks, which cost about $10 million apiece, were vital to its ability to breach Russian lines.

But the battlefield has changed substantially since then, notably by the ubiquitous use of Russian surveillance drones and hunter-killer drones. Those weapons have made it more difficult for Ukraine to protect the tanks when they are quickly detected and hunted by Russian drones or rounds.

Five of the 31 tanks have already been lost to Russian attacks.

The proliferation of drones on the Ukrainian battlefield means “there isn’t open ground that you can just drive across without fear of detection,” a senior defense official told reporters Thursday.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity to provide an update on US weapons support for Ukraine before Friday’s Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting.

For now, the tanks have been moved from the front lines, and the US will work with the Ukrainians to reset tactics, said Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice Chairman Adm. Christopher Grady and a third defense official who confirmed the move on the condition of anonymity.

“When you think about the way the fight has evolved, massed armor in an environment where unmanned aerial systems are ubiquitous can be at risk,” Grady told the AP in an interview this week, adding that tanks are still important.

“Now, there is a way to do it,” he said. “We’ll work with our Ukrainian partners, and other partners on the ground, to help them think through how they might use that, in that kind of changed environment now, where everything is seen immediately.”

The Leonardo Falco, used by five operators worldwide including the UN, has now passed 15,000 operational hours.

Leonardo has announced its Falco UAV family has attained 15,000 operational flying hours. More than 50 examples have been used worldwide by five operators since its 2003 first flight, including the United Nations, which uses it in its MONUSCO peacekeeping operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The latest Falco Evo variant, which can carry up to 100kg (220lb) payload including Leonardo’s Osprey and Gabbiano UL radars or sensors from thirdparty providers, has been selected by two undisclosed customers in the Middle East and Gulf region. Leonardo claims to be the only company in Europe able to offer a complete “end-to-end” remotely piloted air system including its sensors, communications, mission management systems and ground control stations.
