The laws are written in English and inspired by the English law. People still choose English to learn in attempts of gaining employment opportunities. English is considered merit while Urdu is not.

IN LAW of govt Urdu is a official language of Islamic republic of Pakistan, English is always secondary language of Pakistan

English is co-official language and the constitution of Pakistan is written in English.

Just like ancient times, where Persian was the language of the Mughal Court and Urdu was the language of the military and officer class.

Because no one forced them to and I am proposing that they should either be forced to learn Urdu through incentives or Urdu forsaken of the mighty task.

Urdu is still evolving and still a very modern language. It has taken many words from English and continue to adopt and utilise foreign words but it has failed the task of national language be it lack of interest by the people or by the state to propagate it properly.

This seems like a personal opinion to me and which you are certainly entitled to.

You can bet on the fact that Pakistanis will continue taking up Urdu faster and more agreeably than English.

As far as this negative baggage with Urdu, nobody cares about what happened in EP/BD any longer. Most actually have no idea.
