I know that Namak Paray is not healthy because it is made of refined flour (all-purpose flour) and this kind of flour is unhealthy for your body but many people like snacks with tea that is why today I am sharing this recipe with you.

HOW TO MAKE NAMAK PARAY (TEA TIME SNACK) AT HOME

Ingredients:


  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp Ghee (melted)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 50-60 ml of water
Direction:

  • In a bowl add flour, melted ghee, salt, and cumin. Mix all together well.
  • Add water and knead a hard dough and rest for 15-20 minutes.
  • Divide the dough into two equal portions.
  • Roll out the dough about 1cm thick.
  • Cut the dough into small diamonds shapes.
  • Heat the oil on medium-high heat.
  • Fry Namak Paray on medium-low heat until golden brown.
  • Let it cool.
  • Can be store in an air-tight jar.

INGREDIENTS
    • Gram Flour300 Grams
    • WaterAs Required
    • Red Chilli Powder1 Teaspoon
    • Green Chillies2 – 3, Finely Chopped
    • Chilli Flakes1 Tablespoon
    • Turmeric Powder½ Teaspoon
    • Cumin Seeds2 Tablespoons
    • Coriander½ Bunch
    • SaltTo Taste
    • Onion3 - 4, Sliced
    • OilFor Frying


PREPARATION

  • In a mixture bowl add gram flour, water and whisk to make a paste.
  • After that add red chilli powder, green chillies, chilli flakes, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, coriander, salt and whisk until everything is mixed.
  • Then add onions and mix until it combines completely with the mixture.
  • Now deep fry the pakoras until they turn brown in color. Take them out in a plate and remove the excess oil.
  • Enjoy!

    • Surmai Fish, Fillets1 KG
    • Lemon Juice2 Tablespoons
    • SaltTo Taste
    • Garlic Paste1 Tablespoon
  • BATTER
    • Gram Flour125 Grams
    • Carom Seeds1 Teaspoon
    • Coriander Seeds1 Teaspoon
    • Baking Powder2 Teaspoon
    • Garam Masala1 Teaspoon
    • Red Chili Powder1 Tablespoon
    • Turmeric1 Teaspoon
    • OilFor Deep Frying
PREPARATION
  • In a bowl combine fish with lemon juice, salt, garlic paste. Mix well until well coated. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • In another mixing bowl, combine gram flour, carom seeds, coriander seeds, baking powder, garam masala, red chili, turmeric with water and whisk.
  • Coat all the fish with the batter.
  • Heat oil in a wok, over medium flame. Fry all the fillets until golden brown.
  • Enjoy!
