Kabul: On the evening of December 2, 2022, during a terrorist attack on the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, Pakistan Army SSG Commando Soldier Asrar Muhammad risked his life to save the Pakistani Chargé d'Affaires.
The Pakistani Chargé d'Affaires was taking a stroll within the embassy compound when suddenly terrorists from a nearby tall building began firing with a sniper rifle. The primary target of the attack was the Pakistani Chargé d'Affaires; however, SSG Commando Soldier Asrar Muhammad, present at the scene, immediately became a human shield for his protection.
The terrorists fired more than 100 rounds, but Soldier Asrar Muhammad, displaying extraordinary courage and bravery, kept the Chargé d'Affaires under continuous protection and, while pushing him, safely escorted him to a secure location.
During this time, Soldier Asrar Muhammad was struck by two bullets—one in the chest and the other in the knee—but despite being severely injured, he did not abandon his position. Subsequently, other security personnel arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.
