PMLN News, Updates and Discussion

Were these handshakes after Modi had stolen Pakistan's water when Imran Khan was PM ? If not, I don't see what the problem is.
And, have there been any handshakes after India "had stolen" water?

The last I remember, there were no handshakes but there definitely airstrikes all over India.

Now, how do you justify these handshakes that were soon after Surrender Modi committed the Gujarat Massacre and he was banned from entering the US.

What was the need to go to India and specifically have these handshakes?

India has repudiated the IWT and this Patwari clown is posting his photos with the Indian Foreign Minister on his social media account like some fanboy.

I wonder how they greeted each other? that's must be an awkward situation.

Bangladesh did not highlight Jaishankar’s visit. He came and met with Tarique Rahman as part of diplomatic protocol. He is not welcomed in Bangladesh beyond what diplomatic norms require.

Well we should have ignore Indian FM. The fact Jayshanker needs to rush over to shake our hands seems like they are feeling the diplomatic pinch.

This is why, for the good of the Pakistani state, its image globally in a post Trump world, and even the non-PTI parties, they need PTI to come to power, with Khan at its head, at least as president, to have things play out.

Even the gamble on Trump is short lived. Pakistan needs to be able to show a united front to the world, instill confidence in all it interacts with that the state and all major stakeholders are unified in purpose.

We have seen how foreign powers can exploit divisions in a population, just next door in Iran. While the state survives, it can undermine hard won gains.

This is not to say Khan can be allowed once again to be allowed to focus on the other parties, as Trump has been doing. Pakistan can’t afford such distractions.

The next generation of the PML-N have been wed to the current setup, in the minds of the people, and if this shouldn’t go sideways, especially for the elite, as with the US visa pause, as one small example, it can really undermine their potential be a viable right wing and pro-business party.

PML-N more than anyone needs the PTI party to play itself out, just like the Dems need Trump’s second term to play itself out. The only danger for the PML-N is if PTI comes to power and get serious about reforms and governance and refrains from massive retribution.
