Seems like some guns have made it out CW39 and BW-20 with CTD

Such a modular approach would allow POF to introduce variants tailored to the needs of different branches of Pakistan’s forces while maintaining a common core platform for production, training, and sustainment.

Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) showed glimpse of the new Gas Operated rifle we been talking about looks like a unique design but resembles the SCAR and CZ Bren maybe POF looked at the performances of both FN SCAR and CZ Bren in 2016 GSR NSR and made the new platform of Gas Operated Rifle inspired from those rifle designs.
One thing that is notable about the rifles is both looks same the 7.62x51 as well as 7.62x39 so its safe to say that the NSR requirement is not just a rifle but a Platform in Multicaliber there could also be 5.56 version in the making as well.
The gas tube as notable adjustment nob which would eventually let you fire all sorts of rounds of that caliber smoothly without any failures.1787987588154.png1787987593908.jpeg

My first impression was its AK with a kit but it has gas selector. That also means it’s a piston based system.

Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Type 56 seems to be export TOT of Chinses the main reason for the statement is the Ethiopian markings that are clearly seen on export variant of China Type 56

It’s piston based, with adjustable gas block. So it can run more reliably with suppressors and may have adverse conditions setting too. Can’t locate the fire selector though, i.e., it’s on the other side, so not ambi (yet).

Fire selector same place as CW and BW coz the lower is pretty same the upper has just changed basically same place as AR

That 7.62x51 still looks like stamped 😅 but the 7.62x39 looks more clean
the lower of 7.62x51 looks rather changed but lower of 7.62x39 seems copy paste from CW39
