Prices for Gaming Laptops are crazy right now due to the Ram and Memory Shortages

With Clonezilla you can make archives of either individual partitions or entire drive to restore later. It can also clone entire drive to a new disk.

For dual boot install windows first then install Linux. The Linux grub bootloader will auto-detect Windows during installation and will add a menu entry for either Windows or Linux every time you boot your pc.

Clonezilla sounds very interesting.
I have ran Linux in Windows but as virtual machines (VMware Workstation). No need to worry about dual boots etc. Maybe not as powerful Linux in a VM but good enough for learning. I make extensive use of VMWare Workstation environment and so easy to revert back to Snapshots in case you screw up. A lot of RAM and a powerful processor are very important for that and thus you see my hardware above.

Clonezilla is perfect for me. Thanks for that!!!!

Dang, I guess I have been living under a rock for years! My main laptop, which is very similar to the one in the pic below, had it OS horribly corrupted for a week and I have been using the backup one as in the pic below--yes, an ugly, bulky Dell--and I thought to get rid of it and get some lighter one and I thought to get rid of this Dell but now I should hold onto it!
BTW, I don't even play Solitaire, let alone serious gaming. My heavy weight laptops act as servers and I sometimes do resource intensive GIS processing so need dedicated video cards.
PS. I do need to update the OS and I have a Rufus disk but that would probably wipe off the OS.
