Pakistan has seen colossal failures

Started late 70's with decline of honesty in schools , rigged school exams and copying and pasting in Metric schools

Metric exams, "grade 10" are reflection of our society
When you ask a Metric student , beta why are you doing this ?
Child will say with Smile on his face "Everyone is doing is , it is life!"
This false belief becomes our future

Eventually that Generation , who took short cuts, this mindset , ages
and spreads like cancer into structure of Government
  • Phase 1 : Crept into Government offices as officials
  • Phase 2: Crept into Politics
  • Phase 3: Got into Regional Municipal Worker position
  • Phase 4: Got into National Assembly
  • Phase 5 : Short cut Judges and police moved up the rank
  • Phase 6 : Eventually , higher ranks of Judges got exposed
  • Phase 7 : The Short cut Philosophy , reached military

Form 45 , and Form 47 corruption , was example corruption just like how in Metric exam a cheating student , steals the merit or scholar ship from a student who studied for their exam

His rigged degree , may allow him to get into office job in Government , this job would have gone to a honest student who worked hard to get his/degree

In Pakistan , we have many PHDs or Master Degree holder , selling sandwiches or French fries on side of streets , because their jobs went to some one with connection or family reference

Similarly we see Imran Khan , a Brilliant Mind sidelines by Form 45 - Form 47 fiasco

  • We have 180-210 seat holders denied their right to lead nation , why?
  • We have then a corrupt ECP stopped further allocation of special seats going to right people ? why . Even after Supreme court told him to let the winner have the seat. But the ECP was corrupt

Imran Khan is that student who studied all his life , following the right path and doing all things the right way because that was his vision

He is the voice that says , if I do it , I will do it the right way not by Cheating

These are all necessary reforms for the survival of the Pakistan State. You cannot continue in this "state".

They say, The pen is mightier than the sword. Once these ideas are put into writing, they will eventually be implemented. No matter how much blood is shed.

By the way, @Hakikat ve Hikmet; it would be great if you stopped attributing everything to RTE and your blind admiration for RTE. In Turkey, the army did not interfere much with civilian commercial life before RTE. In fact, in the RTE period, I think the Turkish army was filled with less qualified people than in the past.

  1. Merit-Based Army Chief Appointment: By aligning the appointment process with that of the Chief Justice, this promotes a transparent, seniority-based selection, reducing political influence and favouritism.
  2. Ban on Extensions for Government Positions: This ensures that no official stays beyond their term, allowing for fresh leadership and preventing the monopolisation of power by certain individuals.
  3. Restrict Military Involvement in Civilian Sectors: Preventing military officers from taking roles in civilian institutions would encourage merit-based recruitment and reduce military influence in non-defence sectors, thereby reinforcing civilian supremacy.
  4. Separation of Military from Government Affairs: Closing the Military Secretary's office in the Prime Minister's House would further distance the military from political matters, ensuring that governance is led by elected representatives without undue influence from military officials.
  5. Navy and Air Force for Security: Assigning the Prime Minister’s House security to the Navy and Air Force creates a more balanced approach and reduces the concentration of power within the Army.
  6. Equal Benefits for All Officers: By ensuring equal healthcare, pensions, and educational opportunities for both civilian and military personnel, this promotes social justice and eliminates the stark inequalities between the two sectors.
  7. Restrictions on Post-Retirement Jobs for Military Officers: Prohibiting retired officers from taking foreign jobs for 10 years would help retain national security integrity and reduce the potential for sensitive information leaks or conflicts of interest.
  8. Restructuring ISI for National Interests: Adopting a civilian-led intelligence model would increase accountability and align intelligence operations more closely with national interests rather than military goals.
  9. Civil and Judicial Reforms: These reforms could improve the efficiency and fairness of Pakistan's administrative and judicial systems by promoting merit-based recruitment and reducing nepotism.
  10. Ban on Military Businesses: Ending military involvement in businesses could reduce the conflict of interest where military institutions are involved in both security and commercial activities. This would also encourage a more competitive civilian business sector.
  11. Judicial Accountability via Whistleblower System: This would promote transparency and accountability in the judiciary, encouraging judges to act with integrity knowing their actions are being monitored.
  12. Defence Budget Reduction: Cutting the defence budget by 50% would free up significant resources for social, economic, and infrastructure development, addressing urgent civilian needs such as health, education, and poverty alleviation.
  13. Limiting ISPR’s role: Restricting ISPR to purely professional matters would reduce the military’s ability to shape public opinion and interfere in political discourse.
  14. Revised Pakistan Studies Curriculum: Including lessons on democratic principles and the military’s historical role would foster a better understanding of democracy, encouraging future generations to prioritise democratic governance over authoritarianism.
  15. Post-Retirement Job Ban for Judges and Bureaucrats: This would prevent conflicts of interest, reducing the likelihood of former officials using their past influence to benefit private enterprises or foreign entities.
  16. Public Disclosure of Tax Returns: Making the tax returns of government officers public would enhance transparency, discourage corruption, and restore public trust in government officials.
  17. Election Commission Reforms and Digital Voting: These reforms would strengthen the electoral system, ensuring fairer and more transparent elections, reducing rigging, and making it easier for citizens, especially overseas Pakistanis, to participate.
  18. Overseas Pakistanis Voting System: Implementing a digital voting system for overseas Pakistanis would empower millions of expatriates to participate in elections, ensuring that their voices are heard in national decisions.
  19. Improved Relations with Neighbouring Countries: Strengthening ties with regional powers such as India, China, and Iran would improve economic opportunities, regional stability, and diplomatic cooperation, contributing to overall growth and peace.
  20. Economic Strength to Support Kashmir: Enhancing the country’s economic position would give Pakistan more leverage on the international stage to advocate for Kashmir and strengthen its negotiating power.
  21. Support for Palestine: By supporting Palestine, Pakistan could align itself with global humanitarian efforts and take a more active role in advocating for oppressed communities, improving its international standing, especially among Muslim-majority nations.
Overall, the agenda aims to promote civilian control, transparency, accountability, and democratic values while reducing military interference in politics and governance. This could lead to more balanced governance, a stronger economy, and improved relations with both domestic institutions and international partners.

Disagree with number:
5 - Everyone is attacking the army and agencies image and soon we will be attacking Navy and airforce, a big NO.

8 - What have the civilians done so far?, FIA, IB are civilian lead and a big failure, full of corruption and misuse of power. ISI must stay the same but reduce their political role, instead make FIA and IB professional working agencies.

10 - Will not happen, this is death for the military but a working relationship needs to be created, military must not use their might against competition.

12 - How will Pakistan buy J10cs, J35s, Hangors etc. Childish. Instead improve the economy.

19 - Wasn't Indian BJP government labelled Nazi, and India is working 24 7 to harm Pakistan.

What's interesting about this is ever since I joined PDF, all the most active member knew the enemies of Pakistan wants a weaker Pakistan, so their plan is to reduce the army control of Pakistan, harm ISI, stop the independence of the army and these points will do just that. Imagine army controlled by Zardari and Shabaz Sharif, we will all go back to square one and encourage army to help overthrow them, start darnas and long marches again.

Well if the Phapoo's sat in GHQ do not interfere in politics,
then that will be the end for Zardari and Showbaz.

The Army themselves rigged the election to bring these
guys in. what does this tell you about the generals?

All Regimes In The Middle East Have Survived Coups By Strengthening Their Home Ministries. Remember Back When Army Staged Coup In Turkiye It Was The Police That Fought Back

Also, the example of Iran Deserves To Be mentioned. Straight After The Islamic Revolution The Ayatollahs Setup The IRGC Or Pasdaran Funding and Equipping It Because The Standing Army Or Artash Was Seen As Loyal To The Shah. This Investment Has Paid Off For Them.

22- No one, regardless how capable will be allowed to go above Colonel rank in the army (eq Airforce/Navy/Civilian bureaucracy) if the individual got family/personal/financial interests outside the borders of Pakistan.

This is THE mother of all issues we are facing in Pakistan right now with successive COAS toeing foreign agendas due to their family residing abroad along with their financial interests and assets. Russian oligarchs are the living example how overnight their assets which they parked in western nations were seized, and that is how the western establishments manipulate these useful idiots aka COASs in Pakistan.

Civilians haven't done anything cause they aren't allowed to do anything by the Military Mafia. ISI needs to be restructured. Most intelligence agencies around the world are under Civilian control, CIA, MI6, RAW etc.
Will not happen, this is death for the military but a working relationship needs to be created,
Military needs to be thrown back into a the barracks, the seat of all mighty COAS abolished and power devolved betweesn different Generals heading specific theater commands. Military needs to be under strict Civilian oversight, answering to the Defence Secretary who answers to Defence Minister who answers to the PM. Right now I don't even know why we have a defence Ministry.
How will Pakistan buy J10cs, J35s, Hangors etc.
We bought them in small numbers that to on loans spanning over years. If we are buying military hardware on loans, can we fight a war on loans?
plan is to reduce the army control of Pakistan
As it should be, Military is supposed to defend a state, not to govern it and topple governments. You just lose your own military professionalism.
Imagine army controlled by Zardari and Shabaz Sharif, we will all go back to square one and encourage army to help overthrow them, start darnas and long marches again.
Well Army is the one who groomed them both and brought them into power.

points are considerable and debatable, but it is not an easy task. the opposition and resistance will be powerful. particularly, when we have sellouts among us either political personalities or entities.

democratic forces if ever come to their senses and made a strong bond against any misadventure, we would have seen a very different Pakistan.

any such suggestions are useless until these political forces sit together but not being hypocrites. there is a divide-and-rule type of system exists that not only helps the non-democratic forces play their game but will also spoil every effort if ever they come to an agreement.

these political forces need to practice a true democracy among themselves as it is lacking which not only weakens them from within but also prevents them from making big decisions.

We must agree on some points we have time to discus this.. as these suggestions go to pti as some of very close to khan read this and even people from army read these as well

I would include President and PM, if you want these 2 posts then you should have everything in Pakistan.

Other top ministries should be included as well.

What about after Imran Khan? Who will be the head of PTI, SMQ, Pervez Ellahi? Think long term. Army and ISI were 100% behind IK until his removal, due to major disagreements afterwards etc. Army should declare what they want, what kind of power they need and then allow the government's to function properly, allow major reforms etc. Bilawal is already waiting to be PM, the Badsha of Sindh.

Agree on all except 5 & 12.

Would add,
2) Ban PM, President, senate chairman, general, opposition leader and every political party head from possessing foreign property and/or nationality.

But,
they will burn every square inch of this country and hang us all for treason before they let #10 happen.

Let the people decide, it is not upto Duffers to decide
who rules the Country.

They should go and do their job. Which is something
they always fail at.
