Listen to this gem from Khawaja Asif :D

"In an interview with a private TV channel, Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan remained under the full control of former army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ex-ISI chief Faiz Hamid during his tenure as prime minister."

He reminds me of Altaf Hussain, who would get drunk or high and then deliver sermons on TV.

PTI should sue The Economist but I don’t expect much from Pakistanis at this point, especially after the Trump family’s Miraasi Showbaz and Field Manhoos failed to sue The Intercept for leaking the fake cypher.
there is also interview of Azam meat shop done by real journalist...this think tank kakuli fk wont say anything about it!!!

they are disgusting fking creatures!

True, and I am happy to acknowledge that I have re-learned to maintain some hope after all, and this is in large part to this forum, including you.

Feeble hope perhaps, but a tiny flame still flickers.

Might want to put out that tiny flame and save the precious oxygen.

It is very simple: Pakistanis will never fix a leaking roof because it does not leak in dry weather, and it is too wet to fix it when it is raining and leaking. :D

The Pakistan mindset. Reminds me a little over ten years ago, we were purchasing an investment property owned by a Pakistani in Morton Grove, Illinois; he did a little patch-up on multiple roof points while collecting partial insurance money. When we had our inspector report back to us, and we approached the incumbent owner to rectify the property and reduce the value due to repairs totaling $60,000, his only response was, "ya agla malik ka masla ha, property fir bi achi ha."

It was at that point that I realized we are just experts at pushing along our problems for others to solve. Not even willing to care for an investment that feeds and raises one's family.

Not even willing to care for an investment that feeds and raises one's family.

That is only a local and personal matter, which gets multiplied hundreds of millions of times at a national level, and that is how we get to Exhibit A: Pakistan itself.

ROFL!
The primacy of the military in Gen Zia's Pakistan should never be doubted no matter what useful cartoon is installed as the figurehead - PPP, PTI, PMLN - rest assured.
The only long term dangers are the economy and the abysmal social development. The only enemy we have is ourselves. Blaming India or Evil Uncle Sam or anyone else is merely self-deception.

Both you and I grew up in Zia's Pakistan and both despised that era and both of us know the enhanced role the Establishment plays in Pakistan. In my Karachi Univ. year book after graduation, there was a question: 'Who do you hate the most?'. I answered: 'The Pakistani Army Generals'. Well, that was 1990 and I have changed my views since then--I adapt, just like I adapted to NOT support Imran after the NCM vote in April 2022.

You are deflecting. Be honest and admit that Imran would lose against The Economist and that a lot more dirt and 'details' may come out about Imran's witchcraft wife on Imran's policies.

I have a more nuanced position regarding this:

I fully support the Generals and the military they lead when they perform their Constitutionally mandated duties. And, I absolutely despise the same Generals and the military they lead when they commit extra Constitutional illegal activities.

Plain and easy to understand for a simpleton like me.

For this thread, one can easily see where I place the PTI clown show.
