For now, people are doing nothing.. just like they did nothing when Bhutto was being hanged.

The nation doesn't have that spark. And to be honest, if a revolution of the French sort comes to Pakistan somehow, it will disintegrate Pakistan rather than uniting it.

That's the reason I don't want any kind of revolution.

From the K-P province with a population of 45 million, and the K-P govt control for the last 10+ years, and from the alleged 'massive support' in rest of Pakistan, where Islamabad is literally touching distance from Punjab, there are only the 'precious few' so ready to embrace 'Shahadat' (Martyrdom) for the 'most popular leader' of Pakistan.
Oh, right, they don't, because they had been exhausted by the many dozens of marches on Islamabad while the Coward 'Khan' sons are sipping champagne and humping white chicks in London.

Its ironic that the establishment supporters are blaming IK for becoming larger than life and not stooping to the status of Sharifs and Zardaris.

IK was popular as it is prior to joining politics. The establishment did some parts in helping him and at the same time controlling his seat numbers through failing the RTS (Khwaja Asif seat comes to mind).

Going back to Bajwa and Faiz days the present FM was a DG MI and DG ISI in their tenure. So, there is absolutely no chance the current FM did not do Bajwa or Faiz biddings. Otherwise he would have been court martialled.

Anyways, I am not looking to blame any side. What I hope to see is, both sides tone down their rhetoric and come to an understanding. This fight will help neither side.

I wouldn’t want the public to go the dharna route, honestly. If history is to go by, protests similar to May / November would result in violence and more deaths on the streets with no accountability.

Only way is the ballot box, no matter how rigged it would be.

I understand what you are saying that revolution would be disastrous for Pakistan, but let me explain my point a bit more:

There is no doubt that change is much needed and long overdue. But it must come in a gradual way from steady internal changes in a gradual manner from both within the military and society at large.

There is no shortcut to that process.

Hence, those who are apoplectic at IK's treatment should either put up or shut up.
