... I don't think the window is ever closed. If NS has shared agent names with Gujral, admitted to Clinton that the Army has deployed N.weapons, confessed that the Mumbai attack originated from Pak, involved in money laundering and corruption, etc and still got accepted, then everything is possible. ...
Pakora Papers and no, three-times democratically elected PM Nawaz Sharif is not a psychopath like Cartoon-e-Azam Imran Khan.

He's a family man, a business man and a great politician with a huge following. On top of that he has strong international relations and support.

very sad situation in Pakistan. there will be no foreign investment based on current establishment and govt policies.

So is this is the beginning of the buildup to the big protests that have been long promised? February 8th?

There are more 'facts' out there, not that it would matter to some.
Also, on PDF there were widespread talks of Pakistan was facing a fiscal 'default' in 2022 and from what I recall, the so-called America Sponsored 'Imported Government' had to beg for a mere $1 billion from IMF for quite some time...
Facts. Some of those exist even on PDF from 2022 onwards.

It is better to rely on third party verifiable sources directly, preferably international. Both sides use local media to misrepresent the true state of affairs just to push their own particular agenda forward. Neither is reliable.

The anointed 'Sadiq aur Amin' who talked about no less then 'Riyasat e Medina' was actually building a 'Riyasat e Machiavelli'.
The real reason Imran became 'popular' here. By the way, even his fake narrative only earned him 30% of popular votes in the 2024 elections; the ruling parties are combined far ahead of him in terms of popular votes.

The term "imported government" refers to the coalition government that replaced Imran Khan as Pakistan's Prime Minister in April 2022, a label Khan coined to allege it was installed through a foreign (U.S.) conspiracy, not legitimate means. He claimed this new government was corrupt and a puppet, lacking the support of the Pakistani people, leading him to launch his "Haqiqi Azadi" (real independence) movement, demanding fresh elections and rallying against what he called "external interference".

Key Aspects of the "Imported Government" Narrative:
  • Origin of the Term: Khan used "imported government" after his ousting via a no-confidence vote, alleging the opposition colluded with foreign powers, particularly the U.S., to remove him.
  • "Foreign Conspiracy": He pointed to a purported "U.S. conspiracy," citing a diplomatic cable (the Cypher) as evidence of pressure for regime change, which the new government and military establishment dismissed.
  • Calls for "Haqiqi Azadi": Khan mobilized massive public rallies, urging supporters to fight for "real freedom" and reject the new administration, frequently using hashtags like "#importedgovernmentnaManzoor".
  • Accusations: He accused the coalition of corruption, being subservient to "handlers" (the military), and failing the nation economically.
  • Political Strategy: The label became central to his political messaging, portraying himself as a defender of Pakistani sovereignty against foreign influence and the corrupt elite.
In essence, "imported government" was Imran Khan's framing of his successors as illegitimate, foreign-backed rulers, a narrative that fueled his political comeback attempts and widespread protests.

How on Earth did you conjure up that bongi in your head, and that too a day after UAE decided to buy shares in Fauji Foundation? 🤔

You see more people turn up at a wedding function than what KPK Chief Minister can bring to the streets of Lahore.

Just look at yesterday's Benazir Bhutto death anniversary crowd. It was massive. Many political parties of Pakistan have their own vote banks and loyal supporters.

start.. low probability of culminating into a nationwide shutdown on 8th Feb.
