Reality is the source. IK has been in jail for more than two years now, and life goes on in Pakistan pretty must the same as it ever did. All previous calls for widespread protests by IK and PTI have fizzled out and we can now wait and see what happens of August 5 too.
Good proof. Kashmir is dead too, and Palestine and every other struggle that bears no arms. Now, please tell the media they should not make a mountain out of it. and convince Asim that he can live happily and let people do their 'shenanigans'.

Reality is reality, like it or not.

The media will sensationalize everything it can, and reality will carry on regardless with IK just the same as all the issues you highlight above.

What is clear is that the level of popular support for IK is wildly overestimated, particularly in a few select social media drive echo chambers.

Why not do a free & fair election then?
Why does the mafia need 13 parties welded together to fight against PTI
plus on top of that they have the whole state machinery against 1 party.

They should release all PTI leadership and the thousands of workers if
they are not popular.

Well, let us first have the date for the next elections decided first, till the end of the current term or when early elections are called.

I just hope the Papa John Goons are busy on the borders instead of polling stations
in the next Election.

Hope anything you want to hope for. Just be aware that you might get it too, so wish for something good.

Maybe to insiders but majority did not know what was going on. But thanks to Bajwa for the own goal.

There might have been some people that exposed Military before but majority still sided with the mafia but not anymore.

Trust me, the majority have known for the last seven decades. For my father, he said mid-60s, when he gained more self-awareness, he knew things were off. My father could be considered an outlier, as my grandfather lived in the UK since the age of 16, who opened my father's eyes and ears early on through their conversations.

What is your source? How is it clear? Not a single news or incident today doesn't revolve around IK or PTI. Then you say he is not popular.

What do you need? People with guns and barrels to convince that he is popular? or you don't count respect and acceptance as popularity?

@VCheng has a point, if he were as popular as we claim, wouldn't people have taken to the streets as the Turks did when the coup against Turkish President Erdogan was unfolding?

To your second point, the guns and barrels, many nations have had violent insurrections that have paid the price in blood for the next generations; the British had their own, the French, etc. I don't think the same can be said of Pakistan.

It then shows the Pakistanis' contentment with their living situation and mindset: chand din di zindagi, khao pio, moja karo.

I used to think that PMLN used to rig lections with their Police force in Punjab
and PPP done it in Sindh but what I didn't know was that the Army and ISI were
fully involved.

If he is not popular then do a free & fair election and be done with it. Why is their
a need to get 13 parties together along with state machinery (Army/ISI/Police)
against 1 political party?

People took to the streets but in Türkiye the Soldiers did not open machine gun fire on their own people.

Well said. To reinforce the same point, suppression of public opinion is possible but only up to a point and no more. History shows us countless examples of that.

If IK is so popular, or if the military is so unpopular, or if the economic distress is as bad as certain people here claim so ardently and repetitively, we would see some actual evidence of that, and, as a result, some things and events to happen in real life, and not just on social media.

As I said before, PTI has to wait for the next elections to be held, just like all the other political parties. That will happen when the current term in up or early elections are called.

Trying to force an election when it is not time is mere fancy hooliganism merely to get a favored demagogue into office, and it serves no one.

It is pointless if they just going to openly rig it.

I am not forcing a Election, Pakistan needs stability and it will only happen when
there is a free & fair Election. You are free to vote your own demagogue.

Well, it has sadly become a Pakistani tradition that half the people whose favored demagogue loses cry "rigged elections" while the other half are jubilant, at least until the next elections when the roles quite often flip, fairness be damned if truth be told.
