…if the story is fabricated and meant to harm the reputation of Imran and his wife.
Ironically, it had the complete opposite effect than intended — as this story further harmed the already bad reputation of military establishment and their tout ruling govt of PPP and PMLN. 🤭

Does anyone have a free link to this article or gift it ?

I do see the byline of Mr Owen Bennett Jones and he has been linked to Estb in the past. I remember his anti-MQM articles on BBC back when Mr Imran was still establishment errand boy and filing cases against Altaf Hussain. This was early 2010s. That leads me to believe this article is linked to Pakistan Establishment.
What link to establishment? FGS, stop clutching at straws. OBJ has written a ton of anti-Pakistani military content in the past. These creatures like him care about their journalistic careers($) and ensure they are not pegged to anyone.

Sorry to say this but one of the issues is that PTI has turned its supporters into a cult (no different than BJP in India). One of the clear signs of a cult is that the supporters are incapable of countenancing any critique of their cult leaders.

You can curse the FM, all of Pakistani leadership but nobody not aligned to the PTI loses sleep over it.

PS: I too have not read this piece so I cannot say what OBJ is accusing BB of.

I bet there are many authentic witnesses who would confirm the weird, exaggerated role Imran's wife played in his decision making over the years.
You mean "authentic" state witnesses that were used to "prove" Imran Khan being the mastermind of 9 May public protests? 🤭

When a person is leading a large complex nation like Pakistan, then his decision making brain is not some private matter.
Really? So when are you investigating decision-making capabilities of the current man "leading" Pakistan, the one and only; Hazrat Asim Muneer?

i don't see him making his decisions on the advice of a " faith healer "

for me personally, it was irrelevant how Imran conducted himself behind the doors, including his sexual preferences and his belief in spirituality and all the rituals that were allegedly carried out at former prime minster's residence.

I am more interested in how that affected him in making decisions for the country. I do suspect an agenda in addition to some spicey story for the paper to increase sales revenue and subscriptions. this story benefits Imran's opponents in the establishment and in politics. But this fact alone cant be used to dismiss this article but it must be challenged in the UK, if the story is fabricated and meant to harm the reputation of Imran and his wife.

as of now, there is no news of taking the paper to the court yet other than some social media reaction by steadfast followers and supporters of PTI with their colorful language.
What you read in the article is just a tip of the iceberg....if PTI goes to the court you will get a chance to see the Iceberg.....it won't be flattering , Rasputin will look like a kindergarten kid.

Pakistan had been rife with rumors about Imran's wife but it is now taking a Gora journalist with great reputation to notice the rumors.
That "Gora" journalist with "great" reputation is actually a PPP supporter. He has Benazir’s DP in his social media profile. 🙄

the establishment learnt no lesson., MQM, Sipah Sabah / TTP, TLP and then poisoning a populous movement of PTI, from gen Shuja Pasha to the ambition of one man to remain in uniform forever (Gen Faiz)…
I think there is a typo. It was actually General Asim Munir’s ambition to remain in uniform forever as the recently passed "constitutional" amendment shows. 🙄

And he was in his 60s then and he had done the so-called decades long 'struggle' for Pakistan.
He did learn eventually, which is why he ain’t doing no deal with military establishment from his prison cell and actually calling Hazrat Asim Muneer mentally ill in his tweets.

IK has been successful on many occasions, but on marriages he has been a total failure....

First a Hindu lady, and then a Jewish lady, and then a divorcee with a questionable character, and then a "who knows what"......

Isn't there any OK female to be his wife in the entire Pakistan???

Economist is an establishment paper though and a nasty article like this suggests both UK and Pakistan establishments are very frustrated with IK.
As well as Israeli and US establishments like Epstein’s recent leaked emails show. You know a person stands for something BIG when everyone powerful hates him across the board! 😇

Apparently not. The military establishment must now urgently legislate a new wife for Imran Khan in the upcoming 28th amendment of the constitution of Pakistan 🇵🇰.
