The argument that “Al-Qadir was a private trust so appointing his wife is no issue” falls apart the moment you include the £190 million repatriated from the UK. That money was handled by the government, not a private individual, and the settlement directly benefited Malik Riaz. Soon after, the same Malik Riaz donated hundreds of kanals of land and funding to the Al Qadir Trust controlled by Imran Khan and his wife. Once a public office holder makes a state decision involving £190 million and the beneficiary donates assets to his personal trust, it is no longer a private matter it is a clear conflict of interest.

Very true and I concur with "equally applicable" principle. What we have been trying since yesterday is to have the PTI loyalists use the same principle.

We are posting against IK here because this is a PTI thread. On a PMLN or PPP thread, we'll be using the same principle (at least I and a couple of members that hold the principle) - e.g. in the CDF thread you can read my position against the "constitutional immunity" - and even in this thread I and @VCheng have made our positions clear on using the same principle for everyone including the military. What is wrong is wrong, and that's what we are calling out.
