You are forgetting one important fact, in all wars, Afghans ran to Pakistan for refuge, if talibs start a war with Pakistan, they have no place to run to. So far we have been very lenient despite losing face and money because of these vermin.

Still, the response should not be all in with blazing guns. We can escalate that slowly, such as by banning trade first. Then perhaps, patrolling the border with drones and taking out TTP members by coercive means

I know you are being sarcastic. You know my stance. I support Imran Khan on many things. I have always had a difference with Imran Khan with regards to Afghanistan. Afghanistan is an enormous problem and Pakistan is tackling it very well at the moment. Imran Khan needs to change his stance on Afghanistan.
