Let us get back on the issue relevant to this thread: IK is willing to die. He said so himself, right?
Just how desperate does he have to get to be able to do what I suggested? What is your opinion? Never, no matter how desperate? Or there is a limit? After all, he is a human, and an aging one at that.

He is willing to die = Not willing to compromise and make a deal and F off to Saudi or some place, and I will die in this jail if it comes to that.
How hard of a concept is that to comprehend?
It doesn't mean he's gonna escape prison.
It doesn't mean he's desperate to commit suicide
It doesn't mean he's wanting to be shot dead tomorrow (like how you originally insinuated)

That is fair enough to be acceptable as stated, since it explains that the "willingness to die" is just hyperbole for "not willing to make a deal" and "stay in jail for the rest of my life". Okay.
As you may know, I have said it many times that IK has the wisdom to decide what is the best way forward for him. What practical means it takes remains to be seen, and we should be patient to see what he decides.
If he does not compromise and dies of old age in jail, then so be is his choice. I would respect that choice.
I hope that is fair enough for you, as well.

From around 2010-2021 he was favoured by establishment. His biggest mistake was accepting them and becoming PM on their terms, and then trying to do his marzi rather than listen to the boot.
It's disappointing to see that someone can have all the education and exposure in the world and then be an army puppet. I can excuse Maryam and Bilawal for this because they come from a very feudal background, it is in their nature to do anything for the kursi.
However, what still sets him apart from other civilian options is that he's been burnt once and he's not even willing to cut a deal to come out of jail.
On the other hand, Sharifs have been repeatedly manhandled by Army yet are happy to play the puppet as long as they get Punjab and centre. Bhuttos got hanged and shot and same, happy to play puppet as long as they keep Sindh. In short they keep coming back to eat from the hand that slaps them.

Please note I did not label him anything. I merely noted his past record of changing decisions, that speaks for itself. Perhaps one may call it diplomatic intelligence rather than U-turns, if that sounds better?

Multiple times the Sharifs and the Bhuttos have been kicked out of power--multiple times! And some of them faced executions, prolonged real prison terms, expulsions from Pakistan.
I have not seen any evidence that Imran has been offered any 'deal'. I think after Imran legally lost post in April 2022, there was the assumption that Imran would sit as the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and thus he was allowed the megaphone for his fake 'narrative' of accusing America but they underestimated the arrogance and stupidity of Imran Khan. He should have been booked simply for violating the Const. of Pakistan by throwing out the NCM Vote but the Pakistani Establishment was too stupid or too lenient.

If only Imran's supporters would one day know that Imran was destroying Pakistan's most vital foreign relationships: America, Saudi Arabia and China. But right now, all those relationships are back to the best ever and even Russia is better aligned with Pakistan.
