Dr Shireen Mazari, a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has claimed that following the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul in August 2021, General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa, the former army chief, suggested the resettlement of Pakistani Taliban in Pakistan.

She made these remarks during an interview with a private TV channel just as Pakistan witnessed an upsurge in terrorism, with the latest incident being an attack on the Karachi Police Office on Friday night.

The PTI leader claimed that when the former army chief brought up the matter, Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed, the former director general of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), was also present.

She claimed that the general was of the view that the TTP comprises some Pakistani families “who want to return to the country”, and they could be resettled if they accepted the Constitution and laid down their arms.

Mazari, however, said that the suggestion had led to an “immediate reaction” from the elected party members, and a meeting was called in this regard.

The meeting then decided to form a committee comprising both elected representatives and military officials to reach a consensus, she added.

She also said that her party wanted consensus to be a precursor to dialogue, but then their government was ousted and the successive government “did not care” about the specifics. She pinned the blame for the upsurge in terrorism on the incumbent government.

The PTI leader also maintained that Gen Faiz had initially visited the Afghan government, not the Taliban.

On the topic of Imran’s request for legal action against Gen Bajwa for breaching the Constitution, Mazari stated that the party was considering all options but did not provide further information, citing the confidentiality of certain matters.

When asked if Gen Bajwa had shown any favoritism towards India, Mazari declined to answer directly and instead stated that the Cabinet had decided not to engage in trade with India until it reversed its “illegal actions” of August 5.

Regarding the PTI chief's proposal to relocate the TTP families, she argued that the returning fighters had unresolved issues that needed to be addressed for the sake of peace in the region, and that negotiations were a better alternative to killing them all.

Imran had previously linked the increase in terrorist incidents throughout Pakistan to his removal from power and held the incumbent Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government responsible for impeding the peace process.

"After the end of the Afghan war, around 30,000 to 40,000 Pakistani tribal fighters wanted to come back," he had said previously.

Since you assumed that thrust of my argument is coming from my political affiliation, which is not the case rather studying and experiencing Afghanistan situation since first afghan "jihad", allow me to take this opportunity to label anyone I choose as "boot polisher".
Clearly, time wholly wasted given you don't know when the decrease in terrorism started, what Pakistan's extensive military operations achieved, or what made India leave Afghanistan. You can choose to call anyone anything but it will not have any effect beyond calming your childish sensibilities and insecurities for a few seconds. To the rest of us, it just looks pathetic. One should know one's place and remain within it. You are not in your usual company.

Imran khan did what? You are not very good at explaining yourself sunshine. Speak you mind, I will educate you, I promise.

And that is where you not only lose your argument but your marbles as well. Your immature analysis thought the Taliban rose to power when the last America plan left Afghan soil. Their authority was officially sealed on 28th 2020, not 2021 as you assumed, infact they were already in control of majority of Afghan soil apart from main cities like Kabul. The fact amply demonstrated how they took over of Kabul within days of yanks withdrawal and ANA/NDS capitulating. For decades, Pakistan was trounced by this unholy alliance of CIA/RAW/NDS, it actually cringeworthy reminding people as to who were the culprits back then, people forgetting those DGISPR presentations explaining how Indian consulates are the nerve centres of the terrorist activities in Pakistan, and how TTP was the brain child of RAW/NDS. The reduction of terrorism inside Pakistan was directly linked to the Afghan Taliban hold in Afghanistan and gradual dismantling of NA/ANA/NDS/RAW by them.

Don't be a miserable git, because your overlords are at war with IK, be thank full to him that he defeated and ejected India and all other nefarious elements out of Afghan soil. He was very much on his course to shift focus on Modi and RSS thugs till your overlords had the itch to back stab him. If he hadnt made this deal with Trump directly, your duffers would still be gladly fighting ANA/NDS and giving us sermons about Indian consulates.

You're not good enough to pull off that strawman. Let's go back to you first explaining how Imran Khan brought about the decrease in terrorism 9 years before he was elected Prime Minister. And then managed to increase it starting his second year.

India left of its own accord, citing lack of support and Taliban pressure, in Nov of 2024, more than a year and a half after Imran Khan's ouster, three years after the US withdrawal, and almost four years after Trump had left office. They had shut down their consults earlier when the US withdrew. You can't produce claims out of your behind, sprinkle them with childish ad hominem, and expect to be taken seriously. You are clearly a waste of my time.

PS: Next time you step beyond your very limited bounds, you will be put in your place, despite my pity for your cognitive disabilities and lack of integrity.

@hussain0216 just go through last few pages of this thread and you will understand why Terrorism will never end in Pakistan, it will remain in some shape or form and we may see few years of peace here and there... the whole thread is the evidence of what we were discussing in other thread, Enjoy in Frustration as I did.

Also @Areesh I know you already replied in this thread but last few pages are great for understanding why Pakistan as a country and those regions will be in a constant state of violence.

I think Imran Khan has totally lost it, and he is now becoming a liability to the state of Pakistan. He is becoming a open threat and calling out to his followers in KPK, which will further create a distrust, and give the knowledge how Pushtoons work in their minds, I wont be surprised if another Terrorist organization takes shape which declare IK the new Khalifa and start bombing Pakistani's all over the place in the name of fighting the evil Punjabi Zalim Army... they have no idea what Zalim Armies can and will do, they have not seen what IDF did in Gaza and India did in Kashmir... IK's support for Afghan Taliban and TTP has gone to a point where TTP might find it more recruits from the already violent prone ethnic group, this is the cruse of Pakistan as country... Zameen mili Banjer aur awaam mili Kanjer.

These Afghans dying in Pakistan and confirmed by a neutral Afghan journalist are also part of this false flag. General Asim Munir somehow hypnotized these Afghans to come to Pakistan and die here so that Pakistan can attack Afghanistan and start a war with it

4D chess by General Asim Munir as per great leader Imran Khan

I think since Imran Khan is in prison, his twitter account is being handled by other people.it may not his personal statements as his family is not allowed to see him let alone the outsiders

We should take the statements on his social media handle with the pinch of salt

Sad as it may sound..., but the man has gone from a National Hero to a National Embarrassment.

This love for the Taliban... I just fail to understand. Although I do get the label: Taliban Khan

Bugger off. He is complicit in the deaths of our men dying everyday. It's an insult to their martyrdom implying the army is involved in false flags. People like you know he has lost it but you'll still defend him with weird excuses.
