PTI news, updates and discussions part ll

If, there is a verified record of the condition IK has being treated successfully in Pakistan by doctors with good peer reviews and those same individuals are also treating IK, then the objection tends to be diluted.

I know many of the people involved, so I can say unequivocally that their expertise and experience is comparable to any in the world, and many places within Pakistan are equipped decently to deliver excellent eye care.

(My best and late friend Syed Ali Haider was a vitreo-retinal ophthalmologist too. Now is a good time to remember his senseless murder again, and to point out that his murderers have never been caught. https://pjo.com.pk/29/2/15. Obituary SAH.pdf)

The objections that have been raised are borne more out of political desperation, and not the quality of the care IK has received.

ALL of these parties come to power with the military's help, and leave power the same way. And the people of Pakistan accept the change of facades very reliably.
Jinaab the question was: if PTI/IK is the popular party i.e. the one people have voted or will vote for in an election, or this tola forcefully imposed on us? Whether military helped who and how much in past is irrelevant; and how does that change who people actually support right now? My arguments in this regard have not been refuted, and your main argument of ‘why people have not come out and deposed the current’ is illogical, as military and state might can forcefully impose will on its population. As we have seen in Egypt a crack down did crush the grass root political party, similarly we can see it in other despotic regimes.
The reality is what I have said above. I have never, and will never, support any of the wrongs that the military does. And if you choose to think that IK is somehow different than all the other charlatans brought in and removed by the military, then that is your choice.
I dont know what has gotten into the Najam Sethi and Hussain Haqqani group - suddenly military control on the entire Pakistani people is justified and washed out by stating ‘oh IK came into power by military help so they removed him etc etc’. This is just appealing to hypocrisy. Whether IK is same or worse than others should be decided by Pakistani people.

This tola was imposed in exactly the same way the previous tola was installed. And the present tola will be removed in exactly the same way the previous tola was removed. Rinse. Repeat.

And the people will accept it just the same as well.

Please read my post again, the question wasn’t how governments were installed but that of popularity and public support.

The level of IK's popularity and support is clear: he is in jail, and the people are going about their lives just fine, as is the country and the economy. YAWN.

Some cancer growth in the body, partial kidney response, but hey, the patient has a pulse. That only matters.

yeah just some soar in petrol and tomato prices. Some rise in terrorism incidents. Historic rise in debt ceiling "The ratio increased to a 21-year high of 15.7% in the fiscal year 2024–25 (FY25)". Nothing much if the poverty line rose from 18% from 2022 to 36% now.

BTW, just asking, your metrics are different, or you are insensitive to changes/variables?

Just asking, do you think any of the things you mention would be any better with IK still in place? Nope.

Endemic terrorism, rampant inflation and a failing economy are near-permanent features of Pakistan - by design.

I think his criterion is that popularity should bring an empirical change, or it doesn't exist.
So, it doesn't matter what Karl Marks thinks; only Lenin was successful. That's what matters.
Or the entire army is in bed with what Asim is doing, or if Asim was unpopular or going against the country, constitution, law or decency, then officers and jawans would have replaced him.
