PTI news, updates and discussions part ll

That problem is solved by having advisors, deputy ministers or staff that are SME's. A politician comes from the people and civilians usually have a more broader understanding of the world and vision of the future. A technocrat has no accountability , just like generals or jernails.

Why is this even a question ? Hasn't Pakistan tried these technocrats or bureaucrats or generals repeatedly since 1950s , all of them having proven failures as national leaders ?

Bhai, the whole argument collapses the moment we stop blaming “people” and start looking at systems.

Let me put it in the simplest everyday example:

When it rains, everyone gets wet, generals, politicians, technocrats, molvis, men, women, children.
The rain doesn’t care who you are.
Only an umbrella (a system) keeps you dry.

Pakistan’s problem isn’t the people walking in the rain. It’s that we never built the umbrella (system).

And the EZ model is that umbrella. Regardless of model is adopted, system must build guardrails.

I agree thart “Politicians come from the people, so they understand better.”

Great, but without a system, even the best person becomes useless.

Look around the world. Countries didn’t magically become stable because their people were angels.
They became stable because their systems forced discipline.

• Mauritius: same colonial baggage as us, but strong institutions and low corruption.
• Seychelles: Africa’s least corrupt country in 2025.
• Botswana: surrounded by chaos, yet built a clean, stable democracy.
• Cabo Verde: peaceful transitions, low corruption, strong civil liberties, free education and healthcare.
• Rwanda: zero tolerance for petty corruption, high state capacity.

These countries didn’t import better humans. They built better systems.

“Technocrats have no accountability.”
That True, in Pakistan’s broken system.

In functioning countries, technocrats are hired on contracts, measured by KPIs, removed for underperformance, audited quarterly and supervised by independent boards (not politicians).

Pakistan never implemented this.
We parachuted individuals into a rotten structure and expected miracles.

The EZ model fixes this by creating a sealed governance zone where performance is measurable, interference is impossible, procurement is transparent, appointments are merit‑based, removal is instant if KPIs fail.

This is how Singapore, Dubai, Estonia, and Rwanda operate.
