There is no friendship in geopolitical world and PTI situational awareness level is that of a pigeon. Now PTI next move is seeking assistance from Democrats well knowing that it was the same party that they accused of toppling its government. I haven't heard of Donald Lu or Biden names from PTI supporters since 2024. And just FYI, US does not really help anyone for free.

The modern Democratic party is generally more immigrant and diversity friendly, so, it usually enjoys more support from most minorities across national origin, including Muslims, Hindus and Jews. With Biden, the situation was complicated by America's Kabul humiliation and Imran's willingness to engage with Iran and Russia while the US was deeply comitted to Ukraine. Anyway, Pakistani Americans were not the only ones to misjudge Trump's mendacity. Some other immigrant groups , including Indians and some Latinos also supported him heavily , but they were all betrayed, and payback from them was one of the reasons for the unprecedented Republican defeat in the mid terms.

My assessment is 80% of overseas Pakistanis in "western world" support PTI. Same goes for overseas Iranians infact almost 99% who absolutely despise IRGC. Votes has no concept in Islam in terms of public mandate thus I dont personally give to much importance to it. If our prophet wanted to implement voting system he would have done so. I mean Muslims gather in mosques daily and it would have been very easy concept to come up with a Islamic voting system but that was never a case throughout 1,400 years of Muslim history. Even in western world, policies remain the same only the faces change and we know who actually pull their strings
I have already provided my reasonings before and if you are interested I can give you some reference.

In Pakistan 50% of the voting population do not vote, so PTI has approx 30% support from those 50% who vote. The same applies for overseas Pakistanis, 50% do not even vote, the rest are divided between voting/supporting local parties to following religious/secular organisations. So i would say 20% from the 50% who like to vote or join a movement, and these 20% are those who never cared about politics until Imran Khan and PTI kept on coming live on Pak Tv channels for a decade and these people found their way to get up in the ladder, its pretty natural, in another 50 years the youth will again look for something beyond the current setup.

The establishment is reportedly trying to launch yet another "PTI replacement." They tried with Ayesha Gulalai, tried with splinter groups, tried with electables, and now they're trying again. At this point, their persistence is impressive, even if their success rate isn't. Eighty years later, they still seem more interested in engineering political parties than building public institutions that people can proudly point to.

Imran Khan built a cancer hospital that serves the public. Meanwhile, some people have spent years trying to manufacture alternatives and are still wondering why the original remains more popular than the copy.

At this point, launching another "new PTI" feels less like a political strategy and more like a sequel to a movie that keeps flopping at the box office.

Istekham e Pakistan party is the one that wants to challenge Pmln and PPP, the next party for the new generation, its still new so we see next elections. PTI Gulalai and Khattak is a flop, they may merge with IPP.

Good Posts. Thank God there are at least some Pakistanis in Western countries who are rational about Pakistan's domestic politics.

Ok this profile at most qualifies for a humanitarian ambassador but not a politician or a leader of nation with complex geopolitics. In that case, it would have been a foolish idea if Edhi had run for politics just because he had done wonderful job of taking care of the needy.

The establishment is back to its old political engineering tricks. Create a controversy, keep everyone busy arguing about it, and nobody pays attention to what’s actually going on behind the scenes.

Why create a narrative about terrorism to remove an elected provincial government? Why? KPK will be sold to Uncle Sam for pennies on the dollar and this whole drama is created to take attention away from public.

Honestly, with this chaos and political dramas, Pakistan isn’t going to get anyone. Let the democratic process work in Pakistan by allowing elected government to do their jobs. If they fail, hold them accountable through proper institutions. Establishment can’t keep interfering in politics and then wonder why the economy never gets anywhere.

But Islamically speaking, Fauj ka politics mai taluk hai. Fauj just does not want to officially admit it due to repercussions from western world i.e sanctions and blacklists.

If we go by your definition, why even call it democracy when every decision has to be made by establishment? Call it Martian laws disguise as democracy.
Honestly, I wouldn't even mind martial law as long as the public was getting the relief (cheap petrol, gas, electricity, education, healthcare, security and jobs) they deserve.
The problem is that decision makers are not thinking about the awam. They’re only thinking about their pockets.
For 80 years, nothing is fixed and things have gone from bad to worse. people are not stupid, everybody knows that economy is standing on tax collection (1% of total population), remittance, petroleum Levies and IMF bailouts. Economy was destroyed to protect shadow economy, agriculture is deliberately destroyed by PLMN and establishment is still setting sipping sp!keD coolaid.

I don’t care about Imran Khan. Regardless of who was brought in power, saying no to USA, is an easy ride to jail. Supreme court will open on holidays just to convict him on false accusations and establishment will get on their knees to please their masters. I am just paraphrasing Moulana’s statements. He has said that many times in last 3 months.
