Good point. Also, I would suggest a video version would be incredible upgrade. @Quwa
with video, its a bit hard.

By nature, the field of defense/politics brings the vindictive side of people out, particularly if they disagree with you.

atleast for me, being faceless allows me to stay safe, there are many arslan's out there, you cant pinpoint me, but with a video, you can.

Back when i used to have linkedin, but also post on twitter, i found out that some Indians who were butthurt, we're going on Linkedin and harrassing people i was connected to. Ever since then, ive made it a point, nowhere on the internet will you find my face!

Rational decision. Online trolls ruin everything for us. I just want to say that I really do appreciate your insights and knowledge. You have a gift of explaining complex engineering and technical information in layman’s terms. Both your work at Quwa and on this forum are appreciated.

How are Chinese state owned entities so massively efficient. They have entirely state owned defence industry and is probably the most efficient and massive in capacities.

No private sector entity in the world comes even close.
Across all levels, Chinese government bodies and state-owned enterprises employ a 5–7-member collective decision-making body.

Centrally owned defense SOEs follow a similar pattern: their statutory boards range from 7 to 13 seats (with a majority of outside directors), yet everyday operating decisions are taken by a 5-person Party/executive core—effectively a “mini-board” that minimizes communication costs and speeds execution.

In structure, this resembles the board-of-directors model common in private firms.

However, while such a lean board is efficient, it also entails weaker checks and limited external oversight; its optimal domain is mission-driven rather than profit-driven environments.

@Ak01 @Quwa As we know pakistan has experience in repairing SAAB AWACS, cant we can make our own AWAC based on some powerful chinese jet like C919? like SAAB has done with Canadian Bombardier Global Express 6000?

Correction what if we order Xian Y-20 and make AWACS and EW on it ourself? Y-20 has 4 WS-20 powerful turbofan engines each with ~140,000 lbf? so much juice and power for better coverage and range?

Going for KJ-500 radar on the zdk aircraft

ZDK is based on shaanxi Y-8 while KJ-500 is based on Shaanxi Y-9?
What i mean is can we opt for a similar way as SAAB done and procure Y-20 heavy transport and then start modifying them for AWACS and EW? we can also shift for transport on Y-20 that way maintainence and overall will also be easy

I doubt it very much. How many AWACS does PAF need? 10 or 12 perhaps.
