Here in NE Oklahoma there are 3-4 cold snaps from polar vortexes each winter. Last winter, turned my water off for nearly three weeks to avoid water lines from freezing. Will be great if I do not have to shut the water off this winter.

Been raining every 3 to 4 hours since yesterday afternoon.

Took the cat outside at 0700 for a few minutes. Literally. It started to rain and he gave me that look of "eff this" and went back inside.

Here in central Maryland national weather service predicted wild and snowy winter, last year we had only one snowfall and mild winter, but this year NWS predicted long cold and snowy winter it's not only about polar vortex but El nano/La Nina warm and cold-water patterns in eastern Pacific, currently we are having superstrong El nono pattern is going on that means according to NOAA eastern/northeastern/mid-Atlantic and southern USA will received most of snowfall in this winter whereas mid-west and western states will have a mild and dry winter
