LOL! Nearly four inches of rain in three hours early this morning. Was outside at work when it happened.

Rain jacket didn't help much.

"Some of the heaviest rain and perhaps a concentration of flash flooding is likely to occur along and just southeast of the I-35 corridor of Texas and southern Oklahoma," AccuWeather Senior Storm Warning Meteorologist Eddie Walker said. Some of the torrential downpours are forecast to visit the Houston area often enough to trigger localized flash flooding as well.

Where the downpours repeat over a number of days, 8-12 inches of rain could fall in localized areas, which can lead to flooding on a more regional basis.

To put this into perspective, Dallas usually measures 3.7 inches of rain throughout all of June, according to historical averages.

Trippy, Sunshine and I just got back from a walk. Stopped at the laundry mat to get a coffee energy drink.

There was a guy at a table, stacking his piles of shiny dollar coins. Told me if I put four quarters in the vending machine, I will get back a dollar coin.

(Looked like he spent all evening getting the dollar coins)

Told him he can simply go to the bank tomorrow morning and buy them by the roll.

His eyes lit up, showed me one, told me it's made with gold!

Said to him, 'if it was made with gold, you'll probably couldn't afford one.'
