The WEY 05 crossover has a hybrid powertrain made with the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) scheme with the possibility of recharging from the network, synchronous electric motors on permanent magnets, compact structure and low mass for a hybrid car.
One of the electric motors is located under the bonnet alongside the petrol 2-litre turbocharged powertrain, while the other is located on the rear axle of the car. The energy recovery mode allows the battery to be charged during braking and provides high autonomous mileage figures. The exterior of the WEY 05 is characterized by a flowing roof line, chrome trim on the sills and windows, integrated door handles and modern adaptive headlights.
In the cabin, the driver has access to three monitors: a digital dashboard, a multimedia system screen and a control panel for comfort functions: climate control, heated front and rear seats and steering wheel, and massage. Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" have already reported that the market of cars with used cars in Russia by the end of 2023 increased by 17%. Moreover, this growth affected all federal districts and regions of our country. Thus, the secondary market grew the most in the Far East (+21%), and the least - in the North-Western Federal District (+11%).
In other districts the market growth was from 13% to 19%. Most used cars were purchased in the Central Federal District (1.41 million units), which corresponds to almost one in four. Volga Federal District (1.02 million units) also crossed the 1 million mark, which is about 18% of the total volume. Also, we should note Siberian and Southern Federal Districts, each of which accounted for more than 10% of the secondary market of the Russian Federation.
As for the regions, Moscow remains the largest used car market - 381.8 thousand of such cars were bought in the Russian capital last year. The second place is occupied by Moscow Region (336.5 thousand cars), the third - by Krasnodar Territory (292.8 thousand cars). St. Petersburg and Rostov region (212 thousand and 172.3 thousand vehicles) are also in the top 5 here. Only these subjects of the Russian Federation managed to overcome the share barrier of 3%. The highest growth of the secondary market among the regions was recorded in Tyva (+40%).
The volume of used cars purchases increased by 30% in Chukotka and Zabaikalye. In other 33 subjects the market growth is higher than the national average (+17%). But in 9 regions its indicator is less than 10%, with the lowest in the Nenets Autonomous District (+4%).

This online survey was conducted as part of the AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS project in December 2023. More than 3 thousand Russian car owners took part in it. Respondents were asked to assess the degree of usefulness of driver assistance systems on a 5-point scale. As it turned out, male car owners consider notification of unlocked doors or the boot of the car to be the most useful driver assistance system. According to the results of the survey, this system scored 4.33 points.
Slightly less, but also quite a high score (4.29 points) was given to the blind spot monitoring system. Apart from them, the system of preliminary emergency braking (4.06) got into the top three among the strong half of mankind. Other driver assistance systems scored less than 4 points. Thus, in the fourth place was the night vision system (3.92), and in the fifth place - adaptive cruise control (3.74).
In the second half of the top 10, the following systems are in a rather dense group: automatic lighting (3.71), lane keeping (3.69), parking assistance (3.63), traffic sign recognition (3.49) and fatigue warning (3.44).

Denis Migal, the founder of the automotive marketplace FRESH, told AUTOSTAT agency that from February 1st this year electric cars and hybrids imported into Russia officially ceased to be subject to the system of simplified certification.
Now electric cars, as well as cars with internal combustion engine, will have to obtain vehicle approval, which is significantly longer and more expensive. There are several reasons for cancelling the simplified scheme for importing electric cars: to support domestic manufacturers, as well as to encourage foreign car companies to localize the production of electric cars in Russia.
"As for electric cars of such popular brands as Avatr and Zeekr, as well as Lynk & Co, HiPhi, Rising, LiXiang, they will now be imported only by individuals for private use and importers. At present, it is possible to buy a hybrid or electric car of a Chinese brand with VAT (relevant for legal entities) only from those companies that have managed to import the car before 1 February. After February 1 it is no longer possible. But the number of such offers is limited," says Deputy General Director for new car sales, parallel imports AG "Avilon" Alexei Starikov.
According to Alexander Kovalev, head of the press service of Expocar Group, first of all, electric cars and hybrids of low and medium price segments will disappear from the radar. On February 21, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Saveliev took part in the transfer of new CITYMAX 9 and Vector NEXT 8.8 buses to municipal carriers of the Stavropol region and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic via video link. Modern Transport Technologies Group, the Russian automobile trading house of commercial and passenger vehicles, was responsible for the supply of buses.
CITYMAX 9 buses are designed to carry 77 passengers and include 25 seats. Two spacious doors located in the base provide CITYMAX 9 with the largest low floor area in the middle class (10 m2). The cabin layout and the seats fastened to the body sides facilitate the movement of passengers inside the bus, and the absence of steps near the doors provides convenience of entry / exit and speeds up passenger exchange at stops.
Vector NEXT 8.8 buses are designed to carry up to 65 people, including 23 stationary seats, as well as a special platform for accommodating a wheelchair or a baby carriage. Buses are suitable for transporting passengers with limited mobility and will contribute to expanding the barrier-free environment, increasing the number of public transport flights and unloading popular destinations.

The list of cars recommended for state procurement included Citroen C5 Aircross crossovers produced by the Automobile Technologies company in the Kaluga region.
The list also includes BAIC cars of the U5 Plus, X35, X55, BJ40 Plus, X7 models, which are assembled at Avtotor in Kaliningrad. Kaiyi E5, X3 Pro, X3 and X7, SWM G05 Pro and G01 and Amberauto A5 (produced by the same factory) also appeared here.
Additionally, Evolute i-Jet and Haval M6 are among those recommended for government purchases as company vehicles.
