According to the results of the 8th week (from February 19th to 25th 2024), 27 924 new vehicles were sold in our country. This is reported by experts of agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK "* and taking into account its own segmentation.
Experts note that in relation to the previous week the decrease in sales of automotive equipment amounted to 1%, but it affected only the segments of commercial vehicles. Thus, sales of buses fell the most during the reporting period (-30%). Sales of light commercial vehicles (LCV) decreased by 21%, while sales of lorries - by 22%. On the other hand, the passenger car segment saw an increase in sales volumes (+4%).
It should also be noted that 86% of new motor vehicles sold in the 8th week were passenger cars. Accordingly, the remaining 14% were commercial vehicles (LCVs, trucks, buses).

The enterprise "LADA Izhevsk" continues the production of a test batch of LADA Largus. In addition to commercial vans, which started to be assembled last week, passenger versions of Largus have entered the test production. Recall that about 80 cars are planned to be produced until May 2024, on which the technological processes of the full cycle of production will be worked out, as well as staff training will be carried out, according to the press service of the automaker.
"We see how Largus is highly demanded in the market, and we are doing our best to restart mass production of internal combustion engine vehicles with the proper level of quality and in the necessary volumes in May," said AVTOVAZ President Maxim Sokolov. In addition, in December 2023, LADA Izhevsk started production of a pilot batch of LADA e-Largus, which consists of 30 electric cars. The launch of full-scale production of e-Largus is scheduled for the third quarter of 2024.
Currently, about 1.5 thousand people work at the plant "LADA Izhevsk", and by the time of the launch of the main conveyor with a capacity of 25 cars per hour, in May, the staff of the enterprise will be expanded to 3 thousand employees. Recall that the decision to move the production of LADA Largus from the main site in Togliatti to the plant "Lada Izhevsk" was made in late summer 2023. This is necessary to free up capacity for the production of new models on the LADA Vesta platform in 2024-2026.

According to the AUTOSTAT agency, Russians bought 488 used electric cars in January 2024. This is 8% less than in January 2023. Thus, the secondary market of "electric cars" in annual comparison is falling for the second month in a row, although before that, for eight months (from April to November), it was continuously growing.
In addition, experts also note such a trend that from month to month the volume of purchases of electric cars with mileage decreases. Recall that in August 2023, this market in our country set a record (1,204 vehicles), but since then its volume has been decreasing every month: September - 1,159 vehicles, October - 928 vehicles, November - 802 vehicles, December - 635 vehicles.
One of the reasons for this trend is the ban imposed by the Japanese authorities on import of certain categories of cars to Russia, including electric cars. Japanese Nissan (183 vehicles) remains the leader of the brand rating in the market of electric cars with a share of about 38% of the total volume in January. Approximately every fifth used electric car bought last month belongs to the American brand Tesla (92 vehicles). China's Zeekr (32 vehicles) also made it to the top-3.
Among the models, Nissan Leaf still retains its primacy in this market, with a January result of 183 vehicles. Tesla Model 3 (48 vehicles), Audi e-tron (27 vehicles), Zeekr 001 (26 vehicles) and Hongqi E-HS9 (22 vehicles) were also among the top five most popular used electric cars in January.

Certification of the eQ7 model will begin in March: for operation in Russia it is necessary to improve the firmware of the climate control system, in severe frosts the efficiency of the system is not enough. The list of options of cars for our country will differ from the version for China. The model received an aluminum body and design from specialists from the Italian atelier Pininfarina.
The length of the crossover is 4675 mm, in China it is equipped with a 211-horsepower engine (285 Nm) on the rear axle and a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with a capacity of 67.1 kWh. The second place in the brand rating, with a noticeable lag behind the leader, is occupied by the American Tesla (5.5 thousand vehicles), whose share in the "electric fleet" is 14%. The third line is occupied by Chinese Zeekr (3.7 thousand vehicles), the fourth - by German Volkswagen (2.5 thousand vehicles).
