Deliveries of Japanese spare parts and components fell by 32.5% last month. According to the TASS news agency, the decline in deliveries of cars and spare parts continues against the backdrop of sanctions that came into force on August 9, prohibiting the export of petrol and diesel cars with engines larger than 1.9 litres and hybrid cars to the Russian Federation.
Meanwhile, Japan's Foreign Ministry has promised to impose additional sanctions by the end of 2023 on individuals, organisations and third countries that help circumvent the already existing restrictions on Russia, the country's Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said earlier. The measure may also affect parallel imports of Japanese cars into Russia.
