I don't know whether the west help with this in intelligence term, the dude is killed outside his home, which everyone knows where he lives, you don't need western intelligence for this, the issue here is how they (The Ukranian) can get a bomb that close to his home and how he was targeted.The long arm of Ukranian, or the Western intelligence services.

You need a person on the ground to maintain LOS with the target to get that shot, that bomb was not time delay (either that or he walks out in a very unlucky time) which mean it's trigger det, which mean you need someone sitting (or standing, I don't know) at a vantage point to trigger the bomb when he/she saw the target coming out. By the way, that's how old Soviet KGB works.......
The fact that he just comes out like that means the Russian was not expecting a hit.
I don't know how the West can help the Ukrainian in anyway to pull this off

They had no clue, liked like they were unaware and it was definitely LOS activated. But whether that KOS was in person or via a camera (which could mean a slight time delay between pressing the trigger and detonation) is open to debate.
How they got the bomb there. Russian criminal elements, Ukrainian intelligence, a mix maybe. On second thought probably not western intelligence, they don’t want a tit for tat response. Not worth it.

The more important factor is how someone can get a bomb that close (virtually next to the door) it has to be someone who know how the Russian operate, we in the west wouldn't pull something out like this, either it will be a direct kinetic strike or a straight up execution with a sniper, both of which would by-pass setting things up so close to the residency.
Head is going to roll in Russian FSB, how they don't even see this coming........that's the bigger issue if you ask me
