Hegseth said absolutely nothing new. NATO wasn’t even an option under the Biden administration.
As for the territory, again nothing new. I never expected Ukraine to get that territory back outside military liberation.
Most of that territory has been destroyed and working population long gone.
Nothing has changed. Ukraine will be a de facto Western aligned state and conduct trade and security deals with the West. They’ll be an anti Russian state for generations which is in US geopolitical interests.
That is what ultimately matters
