On the morning of March 8, about a hundred Russian servicemen passed through the gas pipeline and entered the rear of the Ukrainian army. The breakthrough was made through the underground pipes of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, through which Russia supplied gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory until January 1, 2025. The diameter of the gas pipe is 1.4 meters. This has already been done by the Russian army in Avdiivka, when two companies of Russian soldiers passed through an underground pipe 3.7 km to the rear of the Ukrainian army positions.
