I knew this would happen at the very beginning of the conflict…
RussiaChina have gained a lot of western tech from this conflict that’s really good.

M777 ain't that special. China already has AH4 which is just as good if not better.

The Russians and maybe Chinese ? Will study all captured western weapons there design and look for weak spots , as well as copying or replicating technology that can be useful. Nothing wrong with that US did same with Soviet Union equipment studied it too!

"Western media is spinning what Putin said as a polite way of saying no and/or as a prelude to obstructive negotiations designed to scupper any ceasefire.

My interpretation is that Putin’s statements are a positive responses but there are issues to be resolved before a ceasefire can be agreed. Russia’s negotiations with the Americans will be serious and in good faith. I do not believe that Putin would jeopardise his burgeoning relationship with Trump and the possibility of an American-Russian détente by obvious and crude delaying tactics. If Putin was not really interested in the American-proposed ceasefire he would say so from the outset.

OFC Russo-American seriousness about a ceasefire is no guarantee of success, not least because Ukraine and the Europeans may not like the kind of concessions Putin requires to seal a deal."
