You are reasoning purely hypothetically. What if Russia attacks Poland, or perhaps Poland attacks Russia? Both options are equally likely. And even the latter option is slightly more likely — Russia did not threaten Poland, but Poland did threaten Russia.
are you serious? if I am not mistaken Poland has no nuke, 55 times smaller than Russia.
Get real. The people in Europe have no problem if the russians continue delivering cheap oil and gas. Or as FT says, Russia as gas station making tanks. Putin can keep Russia under his thumb. Nobody cares. Just plz don’t export gulags to other countries.

there is a flaw in your logic.
one, you can’t choose your neighbours, two, war is not a specific european stuff. What’s about Pakistan-India or China-Philippines? No, I don’t live in Russia so usually I don’t care.
but the problem is the distance from where I am now, is not too far from the killing. Should the russians break thru Ukraine, crushing Poland, then Germany is next. you understand?
Same scenario should be a great war in Far East.
What kind of madness is this?

The Russians can't even conquer Ukraine, and now they can destroy Poland and invade Germany?

You need to make a decision. Either Russia is a gas station that's a military paper tiger, or it's a military superpower on the verge of attacking NATO and invading European countries.

Fatalities and Casualties: Russia has also suffered significant fatalities and casualties. As Figure 7 shows, there were as many as 250,000 Russian fatalities in Ukraine between February 2022 and May 2025, compared to a high of roughly 50,000 total Soviet and Russian fatalities in all wars combined between World War II and February 2022. That means that Russia has suffered as many as five times the number of fatalities in Ukraine (in just over 3 years) as in all Russian and Soviet wars combined since World War II (covering roughly 77 years). No Soviet or Russian war since World War II has even come close to Ukraine in terms of fatality rate.

In addition, over 950,000 Russian soldiers have been killed and wounded since the war began.36 As Figure 8 highlights, Russia’s daily average of casualties has increased every yearsince 2022. However, many of the soldiers killed and wounded in Ukraine are from Russia’s Far North, Far East, and prisons—and are not the children of Moscow and St. Petersburg elites. Putin likely considers these types of soldiers more expendable and less likely to undermine his domestic political support base.37

Ukrainian fatality rates are also high at between 60,000 and 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed, with a total of 400,000 casualties (which include both killed and wounded).38

The 1M+ figure is now widely recognized. Even the most conservative US figure I’ve seen had Russian casualties at 750K at the start of the year. Now with over 100K deaths confirmed this year by both Trump/Rubio Russian casualties would easily run over 900K now.
Widely recognized based on what evidence?

I tell you: None!!!!!

The only evidence is Mediazone, which publishes confirmed losses based on real evidence, not assumptions. Furthermore, the number may be lower than the total Russian losses, but it would still be the closest thing to solid evidence we have to confirm how many Russians died and how many casualties there were.

Furthermore, one would have to be very naive to believe that a country that mobilized more than 1 million men and women since the beginning of the war, that has more than 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers with amputations, that recruits men aged 60 and over, that still faces a severe manpower crisis, that forcibly detains Ukrainian male citizens of military age in the cities, had only 60,000 to 100,000 casualties.

This is just one example of what can be considered a real Ukrainian loss rate:

Ukraine’s Military Losses Exposed: 1.7 Million Dead and MissingRussian hackers have reportedly breached the Ukrainian General Staff’s database, revealing catastrophic losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.According to the compromised digital registry, if the data is correct, Ukraine lost 1,721,000 troops killed or missing over three years of the conflict. The breakdown is:118,500 in 2022405,400 in 2023595,000 in 2024621,000 in 2025 — the heaviest year yetEach record contains names, circumstances and locations of death or disappearance, personal details, family contacts, and photographs.The hack was carried out by groups including Killnet, Palach Pro, User Sec, and Beregini.The hackers now hold terabytes of sensitive material: full loss registries, personal data of Ukraine’s Special Operations and intelligence command, as well as lists of all foreign arms suppliers and the weapons delivered from 2022 to 2025.
This is copium.

Ukraine's casualty rate is in the hundreds of thousands, some sources believe it has already surpassed 1 million casualties, considering everything from the number of overcrowded cemeteries and the creation of new cemeteries in various regions of the country, a severe personnel crisis on the front lines, the forced conscription of men of military age who have not yet been mobilized, and the mobilization of men 60 and older and women.

You'd have to be very naive to believe any of this number.

No, these are figures based on US intelligence estimates. The number is widely recognized now.

US estimates, UK estimates, organizations like CSIS. You’re just coping at this point.

Also that post above is 100% Russian disinformation. The Ukrainians have never even had that many men in service much less casualties. Total Ukrainian dead and wounded are 400,000, with around 100K dead.

Man, the evidence is staring you in the face. How am I coping?

A country that has mobilized more than 1 million men since the beginning of the war is currently facing:
A labor crisis;
Forced conscription of military-age men in cities;
Conscription of men 60 and older;
Facing desertion in the hundreds of thousands;
Cemeteries overflowing with the dead and more cemeteries being built;
More than 100,000 men and women amputated in the Ukrainian army;

This is the country that has had fewer casualties than Russia, which only partially mobilized 300,000 soldiers and has been recruiting volunteers under contract ever since?

You're the one dealing with this, man.

For God's sake, man... Of course they never had that number at any given time, but of course that number is already even higher in terms of personnel who have already joined and spent some time in the army during mobilization.

It’s 100% Russian disinformation. The Ukrainians have never come close to that amount of serviceman much less casualties. If the Ukrainians had anywhere near that amount they would have been overrun long ago.

CSIS estimates Ukrainian casualties at 400K and that’s an accurate number.

Time for you to face reality

Dude thinks the Ukrainians have 1.7M dead, yet the frontline has been a stalemate for the last 3 years🤣. Absolutely no one but the most hardcore Russian sycophants believe that number.

That’d put Ukrainian wounded in the millions.🤣

It may be Russian disinformation, but it could be a way to arrive at a credible figure for Ukrainian casualties that isn't 400,000.

Do you have any idea how many Ukrainians have already been mobilized?

The total number of Ukrainians mobilized was:
250,000 (regular armed forces at the start of the war)
125,000 (national guard)
75,000 (armed and border police)
600,000 (mobilized, with priority given to experienced volunteers, other volunteers, and reservists who did not volunteer on their own)
300,000 (mobilized in 2024 – most inexperienced and did not volunteer)
60,000 (estimated volunteers in 2025 – this total has been 10,000 to 12,000 per month since last October)

1,410,000 mobilized military personnel.

An update to `Killed in action', according to the website ualosses.org with names, birth and death dates, and region.

There are 153,751 casualties, as of August 7. There is usually a delay in reporting. of deaths. This does not include foreign fighters. It may also not include some units of the Territorial Army or National Guard, which were not part of the regular army, or soldiers
who came from districts now under Russian control.

There is a separate category of "missing in action" (usually presumed dead). This number is around 70,000. It is reduced when a missing person is declared dead. To be included on the "missing" list, the unit must confirm that the soldier did not desert.

Assuming 153,751 dead + 70,000 missing presumed dead, there would be two seriously wounded for every man killed. This results in 447,500 seriously wounded and unfit for combat.

This is consistent with a figure of 120,000 amputations of Ukrainian soldiers (a norm of 1 amputation for every 4 seriously wounded).

Additionally, 67,000 deserters under Article 408 Assuming that half of those under Article 407 actually deserted, we get another 88,656 deserters. There are also about 10,000 Ukrainians taken prisoner.

The total number of irrecoverable casualties is therefore 836,907.

In terms of body exchanges, since December 24, 10,744 bodies of dead Ukrainians have been exchanged for 281 Russians. While an advancing side (Russia) will recover more bodies than a retreating side, this is an indicator of the loss ratio. By 2024, this ratio was approximately 5 Ukrainian bodies to 1. Russian.
Bodies_xchange.jpg

The total for the last two years is 6,881 Ukrainian bodies to 1,374 Russian bodies. The difference between the red and blue lines shows how the number The number of Ukrainian bodies has increased in the last year, which corresponds to Russian estimates of Ukrainian medical losses. The Russian body swap figures for the last year are 6,122 Ukrainians for 505 Russians.

Are you really naive enough to believe that Russians have a casualty rate twice as high as Ukrainians?

What evidence does CSIS base this estimate on? There is no basis whatsoever to claim this data.

And we have that the EU is supporting Putin's war:

How to explain this, @Viet

this 3 day war is not cheap. Putin pays $2 billion a day for the invasion, so that’s good for only 11 days. The EU paid $123 billion in 2021, so you make the math. that’s $100 billion less.
your argument is wrong.
