You are mistaken. More than a month ago, it was already clear that all major cities in the DPR would fall and Ukraine would suffer a huge defeat (there are services in the West that predict the situation). Precisely to prevent this from happening, they all unanimously insisted on an immediate ceasefire, including Trump. Now that what they feared so much has happened, there is little point in continuing the fighting. It will all be over soon
