A scene depicts the assault on a Ukrainian army stronghold by two Russian servicemen. The location and names of the units are unknown.
The video shows a firefight with a Ukrainian serviceman defending the entrance to the dugout. A Ukrainian drone, later intercepted by a Russian drone, is also featured. The dugout was reportedly destroyed as a result of the battle, and one Russian soldier was wounded.

How many of your predictions have come true recently?
If Pokrovsk means nothing, why is Ukraine fighting so hard for it? Any city loses its strategic importance as soon as Ukraine begins to lose it. These are your arguments. They are already being laughed at on all resources.

I’ve been right about practically everything outside the 2023 Ukraine counteroffensive.
An this war is progressing exactly as I predicted. Russia has made minimal tactical gains at massive cost in manpower and equipment. Russia is looking at another 2-3 years of combat and another 1M+ dead and wounded just to take the rest of the Donbass.
Classic case of Pyrrhic victory.

Pokrovsk lost its importance 12-18 months ago. Again, confirmed by Michael Kofman above. New defensive lines and supply routes have long since been built.

Well, since you're so good at predicting the future, tell me which other cities have lost their strategic importance? So that Ukrainians don't have to fight for them ))))

If my memory serves me correctly, a year and a half ago you predicted that Russia had enough tanks to last a month.
You've been talking about forced mobilisation for two years now, about the ruined economy... about petrol shortages and destroyed oil refineries )))

I never predicted Russia had enough tanks to last a month. I said Russian storage bases are being depleted of useful armor. Less than 2,000 tanks and BMPs each remain at Russian storage bases, and many of those are in terrible condition. That will continue to decline.

As for the Russian economy:

IMF downgrades Russia's 2025 GDP growth forecast to 0.6%

MOSCOW, Oct 14 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund has downgraded Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) growth forecast for 2025 to 0.6% from 0.9%, below the official government forecast of 1%.

The Russian economy, heavily sanctioned by the West, is set to slow down sharply from 4.3% growth in 2024, primarily due to the high key interest rate set by the central bank to combat inflation.
