Personally, I think the war is already frozen. Ukraine is not strong enough to beat Russia. Russia is not strong enough to beat Ukraine. Neither side can take a small village without losing tens of thousands of men getting killed and billions of dollars spent. It costs the West trillions of dollars a year to fight Russia. An acceptably high cost. It'll be a frozen conflict like between Taiwan and China or between Palestine and Israel or between North Korea and South Korea.

Power plants in Ukraine are few and vulnerable. Probably no more than 10 functional ones left in government controlled areas. Power plants are very fragile and easily damaged or put out of action. So China should pay 10 billion USD to Russia to build thousands of Iskander / Kinzhal missiles to bomb them and make the West spend trillions of USD to repair or rebuild them. As the West spends more and more money on Ukraine, the West loses more and more on competitiveness against its rival China which originated in the fertile Yellow river valley 4,000 years ago. So in order to hasten China's rise, the West must be weakened by Ukraine war. And China can do that by increasing hypersonic production in Russia.
