Gerasimov: "A large grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine consisting of 31 battalions, including units of the 25th Airborne, 79th Air Assault, and 68th Jaeger brigades, as well as the 35th and 38th Marine Brigades, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment, and the 153rd and 155th Mechanized Brigades, has been blocked."

Russian Geran-2 drones struck the Ukrainian aircraft repair plant "Aviakon" in the city of Konotop, Sumy Oblast, Ukraine. Other targets were also attacked. The video shows an episode of Ukrainian air defense operations.

Pokrovsk stopped being an important logistics node 18+ months ago. Only Ukrainian units left there are small infantry units. As I’ve said for over a year now, Pokrovsk holds zero strategic importance. The fact we’re still talking about it is a huge failure from Russia.

It’s not an important town, and Ukraine has significantly expanded its defense lines behind the town over the past year. It’s strategically irrelevant. It’s only important to Russia because its attainable goals have been so diminished.

Honesty is predicated on pure, unadulterated and declared self interest. Which is in sharp contrast to western approach where declared policy is in direct conflict with agendas at hand and you always must hedge against possibilities.
