Here is the big picture of the fighting in Ukraine. The Russian advance on all fronts
Doing another one of these big picture updates for people who haven't been paying attention and don't have their bearings. Here's a map with the most active sectors of the front circled. From north to south:
• Kupyansk: Most of the city is under Russian control. A potentially large number of AFU units are at risk of being trapped, with their backs to the Oskil river. Updates from today include a 4km southern advance that threatens one of the remaining two river crossings, which are both heavily damaged.
• Lyman: Russian units have begun to operate within the eastern outskirts of the city• Siversk: Russian units are now at the southern edge of the city (see below)• Konstantinovka: Russian forces have a foothold in the southeastern corner of the city
• Pokrovsk-Mirnograd: The agglomeration has become a near-encirclement, with only only a few kilometers between the Russian spearheads. The majority of Pokrovsk is under Russian control.
• Pokrovske-Huliaipole: Major Russian advances threaten this sector of front because of a lack of Ukrainian fortifications in the area
