This war of attrition will continue.
If Ukraine can kill 1,000 russians per day, 100 tanks per month.

Ukraine will have to continue to inflict these rates of current losses until the end of 2025. To the point where Russia will be forced to scale back operations and Ukraine can settle this war on their own favorable terms. I doubt Ukraine will ever have the right set of capabilities and mass needed to push Russia out of all Ukrainian territory.

If Ukraine can inflict such a pain on the russians that they can’t withstand. USSR suffered ultimate defeat in Afghanistan and collapsed after withdrawal.
Territory gains are something of short lived. That can change. if Ukraine receives more so modern western weapons the kill rate is higher. Russia is certainly bigger than Ukraine. But from military balance Russia is about 4 times bigger. 1:4.

If you believe in Santa Claus then you believe the lie that is perpetrated by Western media quoting Ukrainian sources Russian casualties are way less than 500000 It is the other way around Ukrainian losses are half a million that was their interior minister said.

Most of the casualties are caused by artillery fire and Russia has overwhelming advantage here firing close to 30000 rounds every day Ukrainian now can't even fire less than 3000 a day a 1 to 10 advantage. Who is the one who conscript women, old men, and young boys it is not the Russian
