First of all, I am going to keep it brief because as you said (which I have not seen it before as I didn't read your entire post) this is not the place to argue this issue, pretty sure there are thread that on going.
That said, my brief reply is, EVERY WAR has to be fought continuously, and for the attacker, you are losing progress if you are not constantly gaining ground. Again, how long do you think Russia can go 30% military output like Putin himself said? He didn't have 50 years to persecute this war, he will be 128 in year 2070, which by then the Russian would be able to reach Kramatorsk if we are using the progress Russia made during May last year when they took Bakhmut. Which is when they are making around 5 mile a week, which is 5 times more than what the Russian did this May.
it will be finished much sooner by all estimations and projections, regarding output russia can pump up production like this and even higher without any concern due successful sanctions circumventing
And that is before if there are any Ukrainian counteroffensive down the line, bear in mind, Russia made that mile a week is when US virtually cut off supplies to Ukraine until that package passed a couple of weeks ago. The issue here for you is you solely believe on something and then use that believe to chart the future progress. I mean sure, if you believe Russia made more progress than Ukraine, and can last longer than Ukraine and suffer less casualty than Ukraine, then do tell me why their progress since Feb 2024 is less than a mile a week? The worse in the 2 years of this war? And why the frontline largely remains unchanged? I mean at least Ukraine can pin it on the US aid package being held up by Congress, what's Russia excuse?
American package will not help, it will merely replace spent stocks, not mentioning lost personal for manning equipment and combat forces on field,.
reason why they progress is slow is probably, as i said earlier, adapting to the ukrainian defense and pummeling it to the oblivion, it works for them as the uaf is not able to mount stable defense since fall of bakhmut and they struggle more and more to contain russian advances on tactical level.
I am not going to reply this here, if you want, you can post your reply here or in appropriate thread and then quote me, either way, this will be my last post on this topic here
